National Transmission

When I bought my 2017, F150, it came with a maintenance package so I always went to the dealer for the maintenance. Recently they gave me an estimate for servicing all of the fluids and replacing the brakes. I talked with Troy at National Transmission and they were able to save me a lot of money, they even replaced my pads and rotors with OEM parts for less than the dealer wanted. Thanks for the great service!

Vehicle issue I was having was loud noise from front end area (tires or ?) when driving. Ford dealership diagnosed that it was the front end differential which was a $3K repair. I was skeptical so I took it to NT on Macleod Trail. They confirmed it wasn’t the front end differential and that it was just uneven wear (cupping) on the one tire. They saved me $3K and diagnosed the actual issue.

My husband took our vehicle to get the transmission repaired here. We knew it was going to cost a pretty penny and we were not happy about having to get this done. When my husband called in at first to inquire, Dan helped him out. He told us it was going to cost our first born child. He definitely made a great first impression and we were more than happy to give up our first born in order to get the car repaired. (Just kidding!) overall good experience. Turn around time wasn’t too long, happy it was just done correctly.My husbands TL will live a happy life for more years to come.

It all started in Banff Alberta. We were on holidays from Saskatoon. Transmission quit working and the car would not move. Had car towed to Calgary, National Transmission Macleod Trail SW after talking to Troy (service writer) who sounded honest and helpful on the phone. We arrived there 15 min before closing. Troy mentioned that he had a location for a used transmission and would just have to check the numbers to make sure they would match. Troy said they would look at the car first thing next morning. There was a Comfort Inn just beside National Transmission which worked out perfect ( By the way. Comfort Inn has an excellent breakfast included for a nights stay) My wife and I decided to go for a walk around 9:00 am the next morning and coincidently we noticed a Fiat exactly like ours. As it went past I noticed the plate and it was our car. Wow was that quick. We walked to National and talked to Troy and the tech. They found that the right CV axle came out of place. They inspected the car to make sure every thing was ok for travel. In the end I gotta say that Troy and his tech are very honest and great to talk to. The cost was, honestly, way less than I expected. What great service and a great place.Tim Sands

You are miracle workers! We had great doubts that the 5 Speed Standard Transmission on our European 1989 1.6L Diesel VW Westfalia could be repaired. You got all the necessary parts, some from Europe and did it. Now the shifting of gears is smooth and easy, without any transmission leaks. As this vehicle is very precious to us, we couldn't be any happier. Thank you so very much for such an outstanding job...

What a GREAT experience. Called with my issue on Friday and Dan at the front desk had me in on Monday. The tech that worked on my truck came to get me (a surprise to me) no one else has ever done this he showed me the issue and how to watch it. Also got good advice from Dan re service. Will be back for next checkup.

Transmission shops rely on their reviews which is why I wanted to share my experience and positive outcome. My volkswagen Jetta 2016 had a transmission issue. It was a major job as many codes were coming up in the computer. It was a very long and iterative process to correct all the problems (a more complex job than most). Dan at National Transmission kept me apprised of what they found and what next steps they would have to take. Dan and his team continued to look for solutions to solve the problems and get me back on the road. In the end to bill was the same as originally quoted. For sure they did not make any money on my job with the many extra hours and components they committed over and above the original quote They have certainly gained my trust and accolades. They deserve all of those 5 stars!

I've looked some shops closest to where I work and live and a lot of good shops where located near this location. However I choose this because; 1) Google Reviews and 2) Because they have been in the business for years (they really know what they are doing) especially my vehicle is an older model.I had an issue with my output shaft seal which causing it to leak. However only after a month after it was replaced by a mechanic (I was already told it may not last for long and may need a new case because it was damaged by previous mechanic) it leaked again. Thinking it may need a new housing and not to have again a temporary fix, I went to this location. Dan was amazing, he was detailed and they are very honest. They still did a permanent fix without spending $1k+ for parts and labor only $250. They replaced the seal and made some permanent fix that's causing the leak. I couldn't see why I cannot recommend them for a great job they did. So far it's been 15 days and still no signs of leak, hopefully it stays longer.
