Frontenac Outfitters Canoe & Kayak Centre

We were in the market for our first canoe and decided to stop by the store one weekend to browse the different brands and models. We were greeted by Andrew right away. We spent some time looking on our own before Andrew came over to help and spent the better part of an hour going over different designs and brands of canoes. Being new to canoeing, all the knowledge Andrew had to offer was incredibly helpful in making an educated decision. He gave us some pricing and different ordering options but said to take some time and decide what was best for us. After making a decision it was very easy to place the order and pick up the canoe the following weekend. Upon pick up Andrew helped us properly tie the canoe down on our vehicle, giving more very useful tips and even suggested a few places to check out this summer. Through the entire process we were incredibly happy with the customer service, knowledge of staff and response time. Would recommend checking out Frontenac Outfitters if your in the market for a new canoe and will definitely be coming back in the future.

Always a great experience at Frontenac Outfitters. Attentive and helpful staff, no pressure sales, test paddle option and they’re always quick to reply to any questions that you might have. Their rentals are the best I’ve used and the new boat is fantastic and nice to look at even when it’s just hanging in the garage. :P

Probably one of the best online purchase experiences ever. These folks seem to have the Yakattack gear that I am looking for and their prices are pretty good.Never had any issues with my purchases. Last bought a NSR PFD and they even called to make sure that I didn't need it to arrive before Christmas and left a nice personalized message in the package.Would not hesistate to order from them again and again. We picked up our first kayak from Frontenac Outfitters and the experience could not have been better. Mandi helped guide us through everything we needed from paddles to life jackets. She even taught us how to attach our carrying roof rack so we were able to get our kayak home safely. Would highly recommend Frontenac Outfitters.

Highly Recommend. My wife and I made the 300+km drive to test/buy a kayak here because I had heard great things and they were very helpful over the phone with any questions I had.Andrew helped us out when we arrived and was super friendly and able to advise me and answer any questions I had. He helped me out with the test paddling, informed me about proper fit/features and we went over accessories as well such as sprayskirts, covers etc.He even helped me load up the kayak, showing how to properly situate it on my rack and how to properly tie it down. All in all, a great experience, wonderful customer service, all staff were friendly, and Andrew is a great guy.Might even make the long drive again for some lessons ;)

Great staff who know their stuff and all share the same passion for outdoors on the water. Good variety of gear and very good boats. Pricey products but high quality. They also rent kayaks and let you try others out if you are considering to buy one. We've rented boats from them for family visitors and bought kayaks as well as various gear (incl. Snowshoes). I highly recommend this store.

Top shelf customer service! Top line, quality brands. Lots of selection, sizes, options.With waterfront access they allow you to 'test drive' the canoe/kayak/SUP before buying!!Just upgraded my PFD and replenished supplies.Heading back up to buy my canoe!Definitely worth the drive!!

Great experience end to end. I had reserved a kayak on the phone. When I arrived, I was introduced to my potential future kayak and its features, then tried it out at the nearby lake. Andrew noticed I was a high angle paddler, which allowed me to pick the ideal paddle for me. I received help to load my kayak on the car and even suggestions on where to go paddle in the area. I doubt I'll need another kayak anytime soon, but I warmly recommend anybody to check out Frontenac Outfitters!
