My 96 year old mother still lives in her home with my sister. On February 2 /23 my sister and I searched the house for the source of a strong and noxious smell. We discovered that the toilet in the decommissioned 1 bedroom suite in the basement had backed up because of a sewer blockage. This meant that all the water and waste from the rest of the house had backed up in the downstairs bathroom.I called 2 restoration companies who told me that they couldn’t respond to our emergency. Malkin Cleaners was my 3rd call and Nigel was able to be at my mom’s house in just over an hour. He cleaned and sanitized the bathroom of days of sewage and arranged for the plumbers to get the there the next morning. He then met with me the next day and walked me through the whole process from sewer maintenance to restoration.I would not hesitate to call Malkin Cleaners again and I unconditionally recommend this Company to others needing professional and knowledgeable help.

Honest and reliable guys. Really appreciate Nigel for coming to our house and give us recommendations for Mould removal. He came promptly. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He did not tried to fleece us by giving over the park estimates. He genuinely told us the most cost effective way. Nice guys like him are very hard to find. Nigel provided my family and I with just the kind of service that warrants a 6-star review it it was possible to leave one.We’d recently bought a house in north van and were aware we’d have a mold issue in the attic. Fearing the worst we prepared to replace the roof. That’s when Nigel came to take moisture readings and to advise us on where we should go from there.On his advice we saved a TON of money by installing a fan to ensure there was adequate air circulation in the attic. He even answered my calls and my text messages while I was shopping for the right kind of fan with kindness and with the patience that we can all appreciate.Thanks to Nigel we have lowered the moisture content in the attic to the point where we are no longer fearing the worst. I would highly recommend this company if Nigel’s work is any indication of what you get from Malkin Cleaners.

Nigel is the most honest and reliable business man I have ever met. I truly appreciate Nigel to come down to Surrey and check out a water leak for me. He used his handy tools and told me exactly what needed to be done. He did not take a single dollar from me.. to say I was and am shocked is an understatement. A nice guy like him - especially in his industry of work is very hard to come by. I would highly recommend him for any of his services. You will be so glad to have called him!! Nigel arrived right on time and was very helpful in assessing the situation with our water leak. He was friendly and professional and helped us understand the options and which ones were likely to be the most practical (and cost-effective!). And he didn't even charge for his assessment! I reached out to Nigel for a mold remediation quote on a new home we purchased and for which the inspection showed some mold in the attic. I sent Nigel photos and he was quick to advise that I did not require and remediation work and that by correcting washroom ventilation the mold would be of no concern. This honest, and timely feedback was much appreciated as he could easily have advised to spend thousands on a remediation and we would have been none the wiser. I booked an in-home cleaning of carpets and two couches and the Lady on the phone was very professional and the cleaner was very punctual. The carpets look great, the couch didn't. When I mentioned it to Nigel, he insisted they would do whatever it takes to make the couches clean. In the end they did an entirely new and more expensive process and wouldn't charge me any extra.Service is more important to me than the price and when it's required it makes all the difference. That's why Malkin gets five stars from me. I will definitely go back and recommend this business

Nigel went above and beyond what can be expected. He was so attentive and caring. His expertise is bar none, and he will go to bat for you. His communication is beyond reproach. He truly cares, and makes every effort to speak with the insurance companies, and go to measures you just don't expect.I would highly recommend him should you have a flood. He responded quickly and helped make an assessment. Without him we would have been declined.
