Submitted an application to a building in London on September 16, after 11 days of getting the run around from the on-site staff, and no return phone calls from the district manager as I was advised by head office in Toronto to talk to, the building finally calls me back to tell me that the unit wanted was gone but they had a different unit they could put my application in on. Leary of the whole situation I agree. Thursday the 28th I get a call, that my credit was not approved but my cosigner's was amazing and they saw no reason for me not to get the unit, they were just waiting for an over ride from their manager to accept my cosigner's. Friday the 29th, I called at 4 pm to follow up and was advised again that the they were just waiting for the over ride but that the didn't see anything being a problem. I explained that I had to give my notice to my current property manager Sunday at the latest and was told it would be ok. I give notice Sunday, to get a call Monday morning saying my application had been denied even though my cosigner's credit is amazing. So long story 16 days of poor customer service, giving my notice to move to my property manager, and now I have no apartment. Oh and still no call from the district manager. Seriously?

The actual property manager is good but REALSTAR is slow to respond to urgent matters, there is no real recourse for a tenant other than to hound their immediate property manager, who is limited by what head office lets them do.For EXAMPLE: OVER ONE YEAR to fix my fridgeOVER 4 months to fix a dryerAs my washing machine sits full of water, I have been waiting over a week for a repair. In the world of building management, this is disgusting.LIGHTBULBS IN STAIRWAY / non working fixture....so long I can't even remember.In the odd case like getting the ac fixed, it was fast.HEATING: OLD!! They won't update is and it is ELECTRIC FORCED AIRThey simply don't care.

We've been in a premium building for eight months and it's been nothing but weekly service disruptions, multiple individual days with no water, constant noise, elevators that are broken 50% of the time and building 'improvements' that means jack hammering into the side of the building for seven hours a day, and I work from home. We've had at least one service interruption and/or people needing to get inside our unit weekly for months on end. HORRIBLE

We have attempted to contact someone at Realstar with some issues we are trying to resolve at one of the sites that they over-see. For the past 2 years there has been constant construction and renovations. Rents have gone up substantially however the building does not reflect their rents. The management group is inefficient and not really too concerned with dealing well with the tenants. I have left repeated voice mails with no return calls. We are residences here however would never consider living in a complex overseen by Realstar again.

I live in 5 Brookbanks drive and the management is a joke, they're so incompetent, very disrespectful. They're evicting me because they're so unorganized and they don't know what they're doing. I tried to talk to them to resolve my situation and tge manager there Ana Sandru is a very inexperienced and confused individual she just screams and threatens to call the police when she realizes she realizes she is on tge wrong. She does nothing to help people nor does she take the time to look into things. She is a very arrogant individual.

The building my son lives in is using the amendment to the residential Tenancies Act 2006 that if the building was built after November 15th 2015 to raise the rent over the guidelines of the government that is 2.5% for him to over 3.5% and I guess they are doing it to all the tenants that is why so many people are leaving the location. Bravo RealStar for showing you are just another greedy company, especially in these times when the inflation is at an all time high . You should be proud of yourselves.

Not overly impressed with Realstar. Rent goes up, up, up, while building maintenance goes down, down, down. Resident Managers come and go so fast, too. I'm guessing they're not well compensated, ergo, the work done in the building is quite minimal. One stairwell had one out of 14 lamps working until someone called the FD to come and inspect the building. Now about every second one works. Parking lot full of potholes and heaving. Elevators that scare you with lateral sway. Heat that doesn't shut off in the summer, and they want a few hundred dollars if you want to use an air conditioner. Laundry machines are down more than up. But hey, on their website, everything is sunny and coming up roses !

High Point Apartments in Kitchener owned by Realstar are cockroach infested. However they try to spray them regularly. Laundry room is disgusting and smell of garbage and Indian cuisine is present on every single floor and there is 20 of them. Management is ignoring all tenant issues and shows zero interest in resolving any issues at all.

Major Cockroach issue, building manager that lies lies lies, he comes into your suite unannounced, listens at doors and then repeats gossips to other residents. Numerous people in building leave their doors open and play loud music and smoke dope. I complained for 8 mths about my next door neighbor leaving his door open. I could hear him cooking, talking, watching T.V. from early morning on. Pulling chairs into the hallway to visit with friends. leaving radios on full volume and then going out all night. The building manager gave one excuse after another. He is lonely, it is just the Caribbean way, this is not a condo ...so what. He even told me that I make noise when I vacuum so I had no right to complain. I called RealStar multiple times to complain and was told they spoke to the building manager and were told that it was just normal apartment living noise. No follow up at all. No visit to the building. Nothing. At one point the building manager screamed at me in the hall that my rent was late and I was not allowed to complain. No amount of complaining did anything. Even when the building manager came into the laundry room and verbally accosted me while drunk. His reason? I had pulled a wooden chair across the concrete floor to sit on and it made an unusually loud scrapping noise. He told me I was no longer allowed to use any chairs in the laundry room. That I complained about noise and then make all kinds of noise etc etc. He blocked me from exiting the laundry room. I told him multiple times that he was harassing me and he needed to leave. In the end the building manager told people in the building that i had something sexual to do with my neighbor and that was why I was complaining. Pure fantasy. I lived in the building 3 years and chalked and Mono foamed the place until I had the bug problem almost eliminated in my unit. After 2 years the next door neighbor moves in and the noise issue begins All my complaints were done in a professional manor including the one in regards to the drunken verbal assault in the laundry room . I complained about the libelous comments. NO response from the district manager for our area from Real-star. I am working poor so began to try and find an apt for rent with-in my budget. I payed rent late a number of times in case something came up and I would have the money on hand. I never found an apartment in my price range. What I did get was an eviction notice for continual late rent. Never in arrears just late. Why did they not just address the noise issue in the first place.This company are nothing but SLUMLOADS. I cannot wait see 641 Vaughan road in my rear view mirror.
