Fetching Fido Mobile Dog Salon

We've been using Fetching Fido for a number of years. Our dog has difficulty with unfamiliar dogs and it is wonderful to see the van arrive in the morning. He is only outside for 1.5 to 2.0 hours and he comes in so happy with how handsome he looks. My dog actually wags his tail when he sees them arrive. We loved Cheryl (his first groomer) and were thrilled by Jackie's cut yesterday. Highly recommend this service!!

Well I would highly recommend you avoid this company as the owners clearly do not care about their customers. First red flag is that they don’t answer their phones. That often indicates they are too cheap to hire appropriate staff for customer service. Trying to reach them to fix their mistake was a nightmare, and they still have not made it right.We used this company several times for our old English sheepdogs and they are not inexpensive. At one point they were excellent, but then they went the way of Air Canada it seems.One of our dogs was absolutely butchered by their groomer. The before and after of how our dog looks is astonishing, with end results making her look like Wile E Coyote after getting hit by lightening. The owner seemed to be a bit self-alluding to suggest that he has the best groomers in Alberta – – that clearly is not true. Don’t take my word for it, the before and after photos posted in this review speak for themselves.Erv the owner called me back (after a few days) suggesting it was our fault due to miscommunication. This is not true because we told the groomer before to specifically call if she needed to spot shave anything that could not be covered by longer fur. She did not contact us and left poor Ezra—now known as Wile E Coyote—in this atrocious state.After some pressing, Erv then conceded that they would fix it. We are still waiting for him to schedule a time to fix her, three weeks later. I assume he’s hoping we will just drop it which is very unacceptable for a reputable business. He even went on to say that this breed cannot be shaved because of the double coat. They certainly can be shaved according to our knowledge breeder, but he is so uneducated in his field that he failed to do his due diligence, which makes me think that he should not be in this business at all. He was either too cheap/lazy, or just does not care about customer satisfaction (I’m not sure) to have the job fixed immediately. His excuse was that the inept groomer was on holidays and he said only she can fix it due to their policy. I’d have someone fix this mistake immediately and would be embarrassed to have my company represented in this manner.Fetching Fido clearly has no ambition to do the right thing so why would anyone trust their beloved pets with them, especially when you are a loyal customer who pays $400+ a month in grooming fees? The prior reviews could be accurate but buyer beware of these guys…

My large breed puppy, Apollo, had his first grooming experience with Fetching Fido and at 9 months old I wanted to create a positive relation for him. As a golden retriever, he will need grooming (often) and I want him to be excited for it (not scared). I chose Fetching Fido because it offers one-on-one client service, the groomer is not bouncing around between my dog and 10 others. As an excitable, young, dog Apollo needs fast, efficient work. I was so happy with Apollos first time grooming - he looked amazing, smelled great, and most importantly was shedding less. Thank you to Fetching Fido for their great work.

First time using Fetching Fido and I'm very impressed. My dog's a recuse and was never socialized when she was young so she's afraid of new people, they took the time to slowly introduce themselves and make her feel comfortable.Will definitely use them again.

Fetching Fido is such a convenient service. They are technologically inclined which I love, they text you to confirm the appointment the day before, when they're about 30 mins out they text you asking to let your dog out and afterwards they ask how the service was.Jennifer does such a good job with Steve he always comes back great and happy with his new do. I would recommend them to anyone and depending on where you live they also do CATS!Thank you for making my Steve McQueen look his best.

Dont waste your time! Been contacting them since December, January amd February for 4-5 times and its now 2 days before April and still havent heard from them. If they are short staffed I’d understand but there was ZERO communication. Go somewhere else.

We started using Fetching Fido for our old senior dog. Trips to the puppy parlours became too much for our 17 year old Cockapoo. Fetching Fido does an amazing job and was so gentle on our old girl. We are getting another one in January and I’ll definitely use their service for our new puppy.

We had a great experience with them up until our last time. I got a new job, so arranged for my mom to be there when they came, so we wouldn't need to reschedule. Told my mother to tell them to do the usual cut. Previously they were great, and remembered our dog is anxious and used a calming spray. They told me mom they didn't have any information on file. When I got home, it didn't even look like she had a haircut. I contacted them, letting them know my concerns. They said I could pay extra next appointment for more of a cut. Not only that, but the price had increased and noone said anything. I told them I need them to come back and fix her or there wouldn't be a next appointment and I got no response. I guess they don't care what their customers think.

We love Fetching Fido. Cheryl, our regular groomer is so sweet. Our dog had some bad experiences in the past including getting a bad cut on his leg. She has always taken the time to clam our pup and give him a great groom.I am still impressed with the owners, Erv and Kim who have poured so much of themselves into the company. We are always quickly notified if an earlier appointment is available & it is very easy to get a hold of them if changes need to be made. Reasonable prices and its so convenient that they come to you!

After being a client for over 3 years, all requests for service over the past 6 months have been ignored and phone calls never answered! Very disappointed with the service levels of late!
