Words cannot begin to express how lucky we felt to have Tanya create our stunning wedding cake. Her attention to detail, responsiveness, expertise in what we envisioned as well as her wealth of knowledge she provided at every appointment made our decisions that much more seamless. We tasted at several bakeries and Le Gâteau bakeshop exceeded expectations and delivered exactly what we were wanting. Tanya's cakes are masterpieces and the flavor blew our guests away with the depth in flavor. We still hear from our friends and family on what a show stopper our cake was while also being filled with the classic richness of how well executed cake should taste. I couldn't recommend Le Gâteau bakeshop enough for their incredible flavors, professionalism throughout the entire process and the level of art they created for our special day. We also ordered my son's 1st birthday cake from them and I know we will continue to order through Le Gâteau bakeshop for parties and events. Working with Tanya and her team is always such a pleasure! Le Gateau did our wedding cake and the process of designing it was easy as Tanya was very helpful and knowledgeable. The cake was there on time and looked even better than we imagined. The attention to detail was amazing! Not to mention it tasted delicious! We had lots of comments of people loving the look of the cake! Highly recommend Tanya to anyone else needing that fantastic cake!

I live out of province so all of my communications with Tanya were via email. She was incredibly responsive and I cannot believe she created such a beautiful cake based on my various sample photos and descriptions. I contacted 20 bakeries trying to find someone who was available and could make me a gluten free and vegan layer to accomodate my dietary restrictions. Le Gateau was one of three people that could accommodate but by far had the most variety for me to choose from. Tanya was so great at making adjustments and changes as our wedding changed due to COVID, and the end result was amazing. It is by far the best gluten free/vegan cake I have ever had. Thank you so much! I highly recommend Le Gateau bakery!

I've ordered two cakes from Le Gateau now, once was for my sisters baby shower and the second time was a birthday cake. Both times the cake were phenomenal, tasted amazing and looked great. The communication has always been very prompt as well. Would definitely recommend having your cake made from Le Gateau.

Got two cakes for my wife’s birthday recently, she is lactose intolerant so I got two of the vegan selections, carrot cake and a cookies and cream one. The presentation was awesome - with attention to details and flavours and textures that all combined so well and caused everyone to “oooh” and “ahhh” when they saw it and when they ate them. I have had vegan cakes from many other places around town and by far, these taste like the real thing, including the creamy frosting. I could not tell they were vegan. No butter? No problem. No milk? No problem. These guys know what to do.

I’ve been a regular customer for a long time but recently I ordered a wedding cake from Tanya. She listened to my vision and created a beautiful masterpiece for my intimate wedding. I also had to transport it on the ferry and she had it packaged so well, it arrived in one piece. From cake tasting to pickup, it was all very seamless and of course the cake tasted amazing. We chose the lemon olive oil gateau which tasted bright and not too rich. We’ll definitely order again when we have another occasion.

Tanya created our wedding cake and it was beautiful. I asked for a petal fondant cake in a gradient and with sugar flowers. She delivered my vision and the gradient went perfectly with my floral color palette. Bonus: You can order a cake tasting box at le gâteau - yummy!

Managed to get one of their Too Good To Go surprise bags and it didn't disappoint! Received 4 tasty and decadent items including 2 mini cakes (1 was a chocolate mousse), a berry scone, and a pear frangipane tart. The staff gave instructions on how to best consume the items after refrigeration. They were all delicious and aesthetically beautiful - loved the thin slices of pears in the centre of the tart. One could easily find parking out front when not during rush hour. The surprise bag gave us a chance to try some of their menu and we'd love to return!

I ordered a slab cake for my hubby’s 40th birthday. Every single person complimented us on how good the cake tasted! (It was carrot cake, very moist and amazing filling)I highly recommend it!!
