My boyfriends mom came into town for the night on her business trip to VI and wanted sushi for dinner. We have been wanting to try this place out and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and we will be going back very soon! It was a wee bit pricey for a few items but nonetheless it was delicious and worth it.

Been wondering about this place for a while so decided to check them out. Staff are friendly and attentive. Food is basic & somewhat mid for food connoisseurs. The house sashimi is somewhat steep for the amount & type of cuts offered. Usually when I order the largest platter on the menu in restaurants, it takes me a while to go through and I'm left satiated. This I kinda went through in a flash and was still hungry afterwards, so not exactly the best value for something costing over $100.So if you come, do so for the decent service. If you're coming to fill an empty stomach on a budget, this establishment may not provide the best value, at least in my opinion.Edit: (Apr 6/24 @ 19:39)Def nope. Had to lower overall rating from 4 ⭐ to 2 ⭐ & food rating to lowest because after midnight, my stomach was not sitting well with the food at all; I thought it was strange that the mackerel tasted a bit sweet" & more cooked than raw. Made 4 terrible bathroom trips within last 24 hours

I can no longer stand by and allow Spicy Tuna" rolls to just be tuna with a squirt of Sriracha on them. If I'm paying $9+ for a roll I'd like it to at least be mixed in. Victoria Sushi is NOT the only culprit and it's high time sushi lovers in Victoria call it out.We ordered on the weekend and got a roll with about 2 tablespoons of Sriracha on it. I like spice

I visited my relatives in Victoria and Victoria Sushi is one of their favourite Japanese restaurant. The atmosphere was soothing, and the staff very polite and warm. I had the spider crab sushi, the fried spider crab could be eaten with the shell, and was both well presented and delicious.

Our absolute favourite sushi spot in Victoria. Everything is fresh and delicious and the service is 10/10 every time. It’s also very reasonable priced which we appreciate!

we’ve been loyal customers at Victoria Sushi for many yearsIn our recent order we received significantly smaller Nigiris, and in one instance, the fish was so thin that you could see the rice through itThe quality has definitely diminished of late

Nice seating and good service! The food was just OK. The yakisoba was not great, I probably wouldn’t recommend it. The salad was yummy though! I didn’t have a chance to try the sushi but when I looked on other tables it looked good hahahIt is expensive for the quality though, I Would recommend trying their lunch special for better value.

Friendly Staff but not attentive. The server never came to our table to see if Everything was okay. The rice was not hot nor fresh, which was dissapointing. Otherwise, food was good.

We went with a takeout because the music wasn't to our taste. This turned out to be a win-win because the takeout was great and we ate in Victoria West Park across the street, in the early evening sunshine. Really enjoyed the five sushi pieces I chose. I'll be back for the mackerel. Friendly service too. Good job Victoria Sushi.
