Food Basics

So fed up with this store. I don't care if there understaffed,...when i take a cab to do groceries and then get home and realize EVERYTHING that i v bought that was supposed to be on sale i paid for price for.... this has happened continually. There's no point in cabing it back to the store for $10-$20. I gotta get into the habit of checking my receipt before i leave the store, however i shouldn't have too!Other than that i got no complaints....but to me that's a big deal

Food Basics is a great store for prices. They seem to always keep their prices lower then every other store around. The not so great part is their fresh meats and veggies. They are never quite the cut you want or look as good as you would like but that just goes with the pricing I would guess. They do have great stuff for low to middle income families. Their 10$ bags of frozen foods are awesome! The chicken in these bags, ie. chicken nuggets etc are made of white meat, processed but white so they are actually really good. I get several different 10$ bags everytime I shop there. They are so cheap for the amount you get. The staff is helpful, and the store is in a neat and easy to find fashion. It is actually really easy to shop there. I really like this store.

Good and fresh products. Well behaved staff. Easy cash process.

Terrible service. Store advertising on the shelf 3 items I bought with signs just below the product showing the price saying “sells for less”. When I checked the receipt after I loaded the groceries in the trunk I noticed I was overcharged for 3 products. Went back into the store with the receipt but cashier told me I had to bring the items back into the store. Found the cashier complaining about me to the next customer when I got back with the items with the customer agreeing with her. Saying I could have bought the items somewhere else when I had just went through a cashier 5 minutes prior. Cashier called for price check. Manager told me they were old signs and she would get them changed. She also said I can’t get it for free. I told her I wasn’t asking for the products to be free just what the only price on the shelf said. If I didn’t stand up to the pricing I don’t think they would have given to me the price advertised. Won’t be back to this location.

The new automated check outs are not too helpful. If u have more than 4 uncoded items...ie; fruits, veggies etc. You have to call staff....lots of waiting ..should have gone thru reg line

Products are well managed. Two things that are very important to me are - the powered cart that they have for anyone who is disabled and there is a very clean washroom for customers.Also the casheirs are usually very friendly. This is my main choice of grocery stores.

I had a wonderful cashier on lane #1 who helped me through a full blown anxiety attack today at 2:12pm. She kept calm and kept encouraging me throughout it. I couldn't appreciate her more. Thank you

An incredibly clean and well organized food basics. It also has a lot of great finds and perks. The staff was very kind and informed me that self checkout is coming soon!

the service is great but csshiers seem to be on grumpy side, try smiling might change your day into s better one and for sure bring better experience to your customers.Great locationgood value for your dollar.lots of options for all types of budgets.Shelves always stocked which is terrific.
