Super Glass Company

We are very disappointed that this company has fallen off so markedly of late. We had dealt with them in the past to repair a skylight and they had provided prompt and excellent service. So when the problem reoccured we turned to them again. Unfortunately, this time our experience was very different. They never returned a single one of numerous email and phone messages. When we did make contact we were promised that they would get back to us. We waited for weeks and they never did. Even promises to get back to you tomorrow" were never followed up on. This dilatory behaviour on their part was not only discourteous but also caused us considerable difficulties. If they could not do the work for whatever reason

Don’t believe the bad reviews, Derek is awesome and one hell of a guy. People share their negative experiences but not everyone shares their good experiences. Which if people did I would guarantee that this place would have a 5 star rating.I needed help cutting something that was said to be impossible by 3 other glass shops and if they were able to do it they would charge me $200 for a small 5 by 4 cut out, not to mention a week delay to get it shipped to some other shop with the possibility of breaking.I went down and within an hour he had it all done up for me for a 8th of the price I was quoted.

Stay away from this company. Derek, the owner, took my deposit and never provided the product. After 3 weeks with no response from him I had to go to his store and bang on the front door (on a Friday afternoon) to get it back.

I needed a mirror, custom cut to a specific size. Called on a Monday and they had it ready Tuesday morning. They set me up with the glue and tape to install and it fits perfectly and was no problem for a totally reasonable price. I'm only writing this because I searched online for mirrors at all the big stores, was starting to think compromise, or purchase what was likely too much mirror with questionable quality when I looked for a local custom place. I should have started with these guys. They know what they are talking about and there was zero hassle. Went to pick it up, got some more advice, and now it's installed and looks great. Need to remind myself to start local first.

Super Glass did not complete our job. They took our money and left us with broken, leaking skylights. We are currently in the middle of a lawsuit to try to recoup our losses. Our experience with the company was one unfortunate event after another. Their crew didn’t show up to our site for weeks at a time, delaying our construction timeline by several months. When we sent the owner photos of the wood and water damage occurring after his crew left the work half done, and uncovered from the elements, we got an anonymous complaint to WorkSafeBC about our scaffolding (it had never been mentioned by the company before). The issue was addressed the following day and Super Glass continued to no-show for weeks. Finally the owner said he'd come back if we paid another $5k so we reluctantly cut him a cheque as we were desperate to get the completion schedule back on track, and he never returned. After following up countless times by phone with no response, we went to their location and the owner told us to contact his lawyer but then refused to provide his lawyers contact details. We had to take the long painful route of letting the courts settle it. I can’t stress enough the headache and unprofessional service we received with Super Glass. We ultimately ended up going with Four Seasons Skylights. The entire experience has been night and day. Four Seasons did a beautiful job and saved us from our nightmare experience with Super Glass.

Awful costumer care. Just got my mirror cut the wrong measurement by 10 inch short. Showed up and Derek blamed me for saying the wrong measurement when it was written. After that I said maybe you misunderstood as 25 inch and 35 inch are similar… not a big deal. His response shocked me. He said don’t give me that BS. If you don’t like it go somewhere else. Ordered a large piece of thick tempered glass for a coffee table. First time I have used this shop and I must say I was impressed with both the great service provided by the owner Derek and the great price he quoted. I'll definitely be back. Thanks.

Super Glass have the perfect name. They are a Super Company. Derek was able to fit us into their busy schedule today and did a Super Job replacing Glass in our Front Door. It looks fantastic. Thank you guys. Much Appreciated. Highly recommend them.

Seeing the mixed reviews on google, I was hesitant and skeptical to use Superglass.I'm glad I went for it though because my experience was great. Out of the many companies that I contacted, Derek and his team were the most responsive and also had the best price. What they quoted me was what I paid. There were no surprises.Some of the other companies I contacted were unable to find the glass that I needed, but somehow Derek and his team were able to find it.In my experience, Derek and his team were also very pleasant to talk to and to deal with.I paid the deposit on Thursday afternoon and they got the job done by Wednesday morning.I think you should give them a call before writing them off based on some of the reviews.My landlord and I are happy with the work they did, I'd recommend them to friends.
