I contacted Brent Ranger almost 20 years ago, shortly after the conception of my small manufacturing and service business in Port Moody. At the time, I relied upon his advice to choose the appropriate coverage for myself and my employees, the number of which would ebb and flow over the coming years. Brent or his staff had generally been very quick to respond to any questions I had over the many years of coverage. If i couldn't reach Brent right away, I would often receive a call back within the same business day.Upon initial purchase I was advised that simply as a result of the order in which I purchased differing coverages, that I was sure to be 'double covered' in case of injury requiring both short term and long term disability. This meant that I would legally be entitled to a monthly amount from both insurance companies, and thus I continued to pay for both coverages.Fast forward to 18 years of faithful premium submissions, to the very first time a personal injury resulted in my requiring monthly disability assistance. This is exactly why I had been paying all the premiums for nearly two decades.Upon filing the claim I was quickly informed that no double coverage existed and that despite assurances, that I would only receive a single monthly amount, and even this was greatly reduced.I immediately contacted the office of Ranger West and asked to speak with Brent. Thankfully Brent took the call and listened while I expressed my concerns. He said he would look into it and call me back.Do you think that I ever heard back from Brent again? Despite multiple attempts to reach him again.....and again......and again, I was unable to be connected. I wasn't offered an explanation, or even an excuse. Brent didn't even have the guts to return my calls. He simply pretended that I no longer existed and he left me to fend for myself.If I were asked by any budding entrepreneur whether or not I would recommend Ranger West Financial & Insurance for their company's insurance needs, my answer would be a resounding NO. I would offer this simple advice. Do not trust what he says, and if you simply feel that you must use his services.......then get EVERYTHING in writing.

I have to say how happy we are to be a client of Brent and his team at Ranger West. Being a small business owner I didn't think I initially could afford to offer my employees a benifits package however Brent has set us up with the Chamber Group Policy and we now share the savings by teaming up with thousands of other small and mid sized businesses. The advice he has offered me over the years has helped me grow our business and and he's been a great help in introducing me to others in the Tri-Cities Chamber. Nothing but great things to say about Brent and Denise and the rest of the staff.Would highly recommend.
