I was fooled by the reviews. I came all the way from Augusta. By far the worst Polish deli I have ever wasted my time in. Minimum selection, long waits for food, expensive for what you don't get and the owner is rude. Want kielbasa? Go to your local butcher instead. Pierogis? I'm an amateur but what I make at home are better. Buy them frozen. I'd give the place a zero if that choice was available. Never again...

The food was Amazing!!! Pierogies were handmade, light and delicious. Polish sampler was perfect an great portion. This place is a little slice of Poland nestled in Portland.. I would definitely recommend!!!

we love pierogi's so we called to make sure they were open and had pierogi's. but when we got there, the older woman behind the cash register refused to even look at us. She kept talking (in Polish) with another woman who kept staring at us disapprovingly. It is a very small, old looking interior, there were no other customers. we waited and waited.I have rarely felt more unwelcome somewhere. She would not smile or talk about the place, and was only in a hurry to get us out of there. I asked about potato pierogie and she reluctantly gave us an old sheet of paper with the list on it. She said We only sell 10 at a time: frozen". I asked if people also eat them hot in the restaurant

FULL OF DISAPPOINTMENT!I was very excited to find that place and thought it would be a perfect place to get the food that brings you back home.Don’t bother to ask the lady who works there (apparently she’s the owner) about the freshness of the food (I’m pregnant and my husband asked if the food is fresh and well done to make sure there is no undercooked meat). She told him that she’s in the business for 23 years and people who ask this are only Russians because their food is always bad and told him: “Go to Macdonalds!” She was acting very rude!!! I think it has something to do with race (my husband is Hispanic).I was on the phone with him and heard the whole conversation. I asked him to leave that store, despite the fact that I was craving this food... No one person deserves to be treated like this!I don’t understand why they have so many great reviews. Probably majority of them are the owners friends and family.Work harder on your attitude lady! It’s very sad to hear that you’re in the business for so long and still act extremely unprofessional !Do I recommend you to go there? Try, but you’d better be polish if you want to be treated like a human.

Food was great, just a week after i returned from a short trip to Poland. The kielbasa, potato pancakes, bean stew, and cabbage stuffed with beef were notably good.It feels like dining in a small shop, so the ambiance and service are not designed for dine-in customers, but it all worked out.No beer/alcohol sold, but we brought in our own beer (BYOB).

A genuine Polish deli with a nice variety of Pierogi. The blueberry and cheese Pierogi are fantastic. They have lots of fun treats like Vodka filled confections too.

I've lived in Portland my whole life and can't believe I've passed by this place so often and never stopped in to try it before now. Fantastic food!! You can't beat the price and it came out quickly too! Super cozy atmosphere and the owner has a bunch of other polish snacks/foods/drinks that you can buy as well. I had the golabki and it was so filling. I couldn't even finish it but it was so good. Definitely will be coming back to this hidden gem.

Bless this Maine gem. Was raised with a polish background in Chicago as a kid and live in the sticks up by Bangor now. I come down to Portland semi often and will stop by each time from now. Great legit home cooked Polish food in a cozy environment. 11/10
