Wasn't really impressed much, especially with all the hype and references..... Out of most non alcoholic drink options...out of many food options from the menu...had to walk back to the kitchen twice to ask for service and when the food came it wasn't really that great...asked for super spicy jerk, it wasn't....asked for some hot sauce and lady told us it gets hotter...lol had few more bites...nothing. more people in there playing vlts than eating.Konga Cafe all the way mon!!!

Amazing, fresh Jamaican food with a ton of flavour and an amazing price! We had the curry goat, jerk chicken, festivals and plain rain and were really impressed! 100% recommend

COME HERE AND TRY SOME JAMAICAN FOOD! super awesome staff, great variety on the menu! Come here every Friday possible to get the soup for $5, also LOVE the jerk chicken and the curry goat and the snapper.

Was absolutely delicious! The curried goat I had tasted very authentic, was falling off the bone and super tender. Tasted very similar to the curried goat I had in Jamaica years ago! The large Was plenty of food for me (quite a big eater). My girlfriend got the jerk chicken and it tasted awesome too! I for sure would recommend this place! The atmosphere gave off a Jamaican vibe for sure as well.

Jamaican food is a feast for the eyes and taste buds to celebrate with all with flavors derived from a wealth of herbs and spices!We came up the stairs here on a hot summers day, the establishment was spacious with an array of natural light seeping in through the large 2nd floor windows. You are met with a soft colorful Jamaica ambiance, music playing to match and the menu pasted on the window beside the payment counter for take out or dine in is easy to read.Once at the top of the stairs we were met with a friendly greeting, placed our order, seated and offered ice cold water which helped after walking downtown in the heat. When we inquired about the menu items(our first time at this particular food basket) the server was helpful in answering our questions. I chose the spicy jerk chicken while my partner in tasting chose the fried BBQ chicken and after we finished eating we both agreed the food was tantalizing.We will definitely be back!

The food is ok at best, certainly not the quality and as authentic as you would get in Edmonton or Calgary at a Jamaican restaurant. The jerk is probably catered to north American taste as it is mildly seasoned and flavoured. Typically you can taste a hint the curry powder in the curry which means the curry power mix has not be sauteed long enough. I do like ox tail but I typically avoid this altogether here as it alway has loads of gelatin.
