Stoney Creek Montessori

As chair of the CCMA and a head of school at a Hamilton area Montessori School, I can attest to the fact that Stoney Creek Montessori are on track to become accredited. We have a waiting period of three years before a school can move from being an applicant to being accredited.Since before the school opened Ateeka and her team have worked diligently with the CCMA to create a high fidelity Montessori program. All reviews and visits by our team members have been extremely positive.

My daughter has been attending Stoney Creek Montessori School since summer. I have nothing but great experience to share. She is always happy to go to school and full of smiles when I pick her up. She has been learning a lot and becoming more social! The teachers seem very dedicated and always ready to assist. I will always be grateful to this wonderful school!

We have had such a wonderful experience at Stoney Creek Montessori. The staff are so caring and helpful. When my son was struggling with the transition to big brother the staff were so understanding and provided many great ideas to help ease the transition. My son truly loves his teachers and has learned so much from them!

A True Montessori experience !Miss Nancy is a phenomenal talent; her passion for the Montessori approach is inspirational. Our son has been attending SCM for almost a year. Not only is he very happy there and is always smiling after I pick him up- he also has learned a lot. He always offers to clean up at home or help me to small tasks. I am very happy with all the teachers that are very dedicated. Any time I have a question about my son they have an answer ( so I know they pay attention to him ) anytime he is sick(which is a lot) they are always informing me (exact fever /temperature in an email) so I’m never concerned that he is sick at school. I’m very happy we found This daycare and it’s definitely worth it :)

My son has been at SCM since September (3 years old). I have never felt more Calm leaving him then here. We started transitioning him last year as he was experiencing some nerves and now has no reservations. The children are clearly first and foremost priority and I value the extra work that goes into making this a true Montesorri environment. I wish both my kids could take advantage of this type of learning forever.

my daughter is going to Stony Creek Montessori as of Jan 2018. I do see a lot of difference and it makes me as full time working Mom happy. I will for sure recommend this place for those of you who wants the best for their kids. WORTH IT. amazing staff. preschool and afterschool care.teachers are more than amazing and knowledgable.Communication between staff and parent beyond exceptions.

Hands down best daycare/ school around. My 3 year old enjoyed spending time and learning at this school what an enormous change in his behavior, learning and social skills this school made and staff at Stoney Creek Montessori is very professional and friendly they make you feel like family.

Leaving my children in the care of others is not something I do easily or lightly. When I enrolled my oldest child in SCMS’s Bambini class I left in tears. But when I arrived that first day my clingy introvert was so happily engaged in a Montessori activity she didn’t rush into my arms as I expected. I honestly didn’t know anything about Montessori, but over time I noticed she was bringing back what she learned: matching mittens, identifying shapes and even tidying up with a song. She was there when I had my second child, and the school was beyond supportive of her and the family transition she was facing. It wasn’t all roses: she had some angry outbursts and crying fits as can be expected with a new baby at home. I was made aware of incidents in a discreet and professional way, and when I asked how best to resolve the behaviour I was met with compassion, solutions and support. That was over one year ago, and in a few short months our youngest will be starting in the Bambini room while our oldest continues to shine brightly in the CASA curriculum. I am very grateful to the entire staff at SCMS for how much they’ve cared for my sensitive child, and I have every confidence our youngest will be equally happy and fulfilled. This is an excellent school and a nurturing environment that has enriched our entire family.
