Strathcona Eco Station

Pleasant staff and an efficient operation. Dropped off some old printers and was assisted by the staff. Took a pile of tree branches for disposal, no charge.

I was very impressed with the staff and processing at the Eco Station. People are often quick to criticize city employees. However, all of the staff I interacted with from the entry screening gate, to staff inside the complex were very friendly and helpful. They really assisted me with sorting and directing locations to deposit the variety of items I brought in my fully loaded half ton.

The people working outside in the yard were friendly enough, but as soon as we went into the sorting centre the ladies (except for one nice lady) were extremely bitter and rude towards us. We drove in and started to unload our used oil and were bringing it to a trolley with a big OIL" sign and a lady barked at us for bringing it to apparently the wrong one. As we finished unloading other various items she was seen rolling her eyes and scoffing at the way other people were unloading their items. Next we unloaded a bucket of dead batteries and a different lady told us to put it on a certain trolley but then the Oil lady came back and yelled at us again for putting it there.Very sour and bitter people working there."

Sep 17 at 2.30 pm. Went to get rid of some motor oil and other stuff. Short Lady at lane one was not happy at work. She was busy chatting with coworker and was getting frustrated when I asked for help putting items in correct bins!She and her gestures were not professional at all. However her coworker was having smile on her face.

Easy access turning right on 99st. Please dont try too turn left from 99 st. EVER. Long line up upon arrival but moved quickly. It seemed small for the amount of bins, vehicles and people for the lot. It was price appropriate. Lots of friendly staff.

Good location for me to get to. I prefer it for ease when I am doing a lot of errands in town.I have had great service, and I have also had indifferent service. I tend to be gracious and will not let indifferent service affect my choice to return, but the reviews left by others who have been given lousy service and rudeness are causing concern. I will continue to visit, but feel I will need to directly contact those in charge if I see that kind of service to me or others.Thank you for you time reading this.

Great place to take your junk. I can’t believe it’s in Edmonton? No charge for most items. Edmonton usually nickel and dimes you continuously. Refreshing to go there. Staff is friendly and helpful.

The staff here are so friendly and helpful! I used to always drive all the way to the main dump down on aurum road, but it was quite the drive. I come here and the prices are pretty much the same. Garden waste (leaves, branches, bushes) can be dumped here for free, which is great when doing a big yard reno! It's nicely organized and the staff direct you to where you need to go for the items you have brought.

Used to be the place the go when I had an extra bag or two of garbage, yesterday I brought 3 bags, and some recycling, the attendant (never seen before, unsure it they are new, or just never interacted) wanted 10 dollars for the additional bag.I told the attendant they usually don't charge for the third, as we are allowed to take three free bags per week.. The attendant didn't even respond, just gave me a look like so?" So rude
