Polka and Volt

Based on a colleague’s recommendation I went to Polka & Volt for my first tattoo, a portrait of my grandson (1 year old) and it was a GREAT experience.The artist, Rob (Polka) , was exceptional in spending time with me to discuss all aspects of the tattoo such as where will it be, tattoo size, colour or B&W, and armed with over 50 photos of my grandson, we chose the best one for the tattoo. Ron explained why the photos he recommended as a tattoo candidate were perfect for a tattoo and he was very detailed in his choices. There was no pressure or rushing and Rob provided me with all pros and cons of each candidate; I had the final decision.Execution was a great experience. The studio was welcoming and the mood was relaxed with banter and humour among the artists. The Studio was spotless in all aspects and all precautions were taken as the tattooing was being executed to ensure a sterile environment. Rob also took the time to explain how to care for the tattoo and a month later I returned so Rob could ensure all was well and do any touch-ups. I appreciated this visit as it showed Polka & Volt wanted to ensure the tattoo was the best it could be and that I was satisfied.I will also give a shout-out to Katlyn who manages appointments, answers questions, looks after the many details and keeps things running smoothly .The result was a beautiful portrait which has received countless complements. My grandson recognizes himself and pats the tattoo when he sees it. For my first tattoo, I was more than pleased with the result. I highly recommend Polka & Volt and I will return. I encourage you to visit, I cannot say enough good things about Polka & Volt.I must add the other artists are also highly skilled as seen in their work. It's a busy studio so book soon.

I was looking to get a cover-up tattoo done and had initially been referred to Robert, but since his books were closed at the time, he recommended Kris for the job.I told Kris which objects and colours I wanted in the design, but otherwise gave him full creative freedom as far as placement, composition, size... etc were concerned. The design he came up with blew me away and was perfect from the start; I didn't have to ask for any adjustments.The tattoo turned out beautifully and Kris really took the time and care throughout the process to ensure I was comfortable, healed well (it required multiple sessions), and was happy with the overall result. He is a phenomenal artist and I couldn't recommend him more.The studio itself is very clean with excellent hygiene standards and is packed with incredibly talented artists who do the most beautiful work. I won't be looking elsewhere for any of my future tattoos.Thank you, Polka & Volt and Kris!

Got my first real tattoo here. I was looking to get something trash polka and was referred to Rob by a few other artists. Definitely the best artist for the job. Rob is awesome to deal with and crazy down to earth. He really cares about his clients. His knowledge in the industry is phenomenal. Shop is very clean and all artists are super friendly. Really feels like a family atmosphere here. I would recommend 100% to come here for your tattoos

Came from Huron County to check out Polka and volt found them on Facebook.Met with Kris and gave him the idea I was looking for in the the tattoo. He recommended Mike for the job I have to say the shop is clean and the artist’s are very friendly and accommodating to your needs. Came back for my second visit and this was the outcome looking forward to finishing the sleeve. Definitely recommend Polka and Volt

Went here for my first Tattoo today it was an amazing experience. Jasteen who was my artist was super friendly and helpful. Extremely happy with my Tattoo!!

I love the tattoo I got there, Garrett had such a cool plan and drawing based on what I explained. I have a lot of tattoos and this one was by far the most gentle". What I mean by that is that my most of my other ones have been done with a wired machine and a heavy hand while this was much more delicate. It makes a big difference with thinner lines

Okay so, where do I start?! Every person involved with Polka and Volt are such a pleasure to be around. Super supportive environment- and man, when I say talent, I mean it! I went in with my boyfriend (for his second sitting) and ended up getting a tattoo of my own while he was getting work done. The level of skill and professionalism, is unheard of. My artist was extremely kind and super gentle- I have quite a few tattoos and this one was probably one of the easiest to sit through. The lines and quality of the tattoo, *chefs kiss* perfect. Thank you so very much for being so great! Can’t wait to come again.

My fiancée and I were referred to R.J. Poston - my journey to start a sleeve, and my fiancée to get his first piece.R.J. is incredibly talented and very likeable. The energy in this studio is clean, professional, and creative. All walks of life coming in and out. We've worked together over the course of a year or more now, and I'm always inspired by R.J. and his coworkers- you guys are fabulous!

I had such a great experience at polka and volts tattoo shop. RJ was my tattoo artist and he did an AMAZING job on my cover up. I would highly recommend him to anyone. I will definitely be back for another tattoo. 10/10
