Downtown Oshawa BIA

It's not about where their office is or who they are individually. It is about what they do!Trying to beautify the downtown area and put on events to attract attention to and bring people back downtown. I have been a member of the BIA now for roughly 18 months and have gotten to know both Garth and Angela well. I can say with certainty they both care and both do the very best they can with the resources they are given. Downtown Oshawa isn't perfect but it is getting better and we are seeing more investment happening such as the student condo building, Yuk Yuks and Wendel Clarks restaurant.Anytime I had a question or an issue they've always had an open door policy which I have always appreciated. They run several successful annual events and Angela is always working double time to ensure they run smoothly. In my humble opinion they are a credit to our downtown.

Amazing work that you are doing for the downtown Oshawa region! Even during the pandemic. We are deeply grateful of you trying to keep businesses informed and working together as a community.

Oshawa is starting to find it's place. It's not a depressed wasteland (anymore) like most people from outside of Oshawa seem to think it is. Trendy coffee shops, fun ice cream places and new condos are popping up and replacing a lot of the for lease and forlorn property, so it really is feeling more alive now.

Nice place for to walk 30 min around( in the afternoon), I like go for Ice cream in Hollywood cone, curry club ( delicious Indian food), viva burritos, see the cars museum, they have a nice library.

Downtown Oshawa slowly coming back to life. Good progress. You need a reason for people to come. Good restaurants like Avanti help. Students & schools also help. Finish fixing up the old Hotel Genosha, get it ready for people. I still miss the old Regent Theatre. It should have been repurposed as a live theatre venue like the Capitol Theatre in Port Hope.

Awful, the garbage, the lack of proper storefront signs, the homeless we have here and the more homeless being brought out to oshawa by Toronto cops. Unfortunately our once beautiful oshawa has been destroyed by a city council who does not care.

Great tribute for all of the frontline workers @ downtown Oshawa. Nice way to show appreciation during these uncertain times.
