Paulo's Italian Trattoria
Its one of those places puts you in a good mood as you enter.If the weather is nice definitely sit on the patio.I recommend you give yourself plenty of time as the service takes a little while.I ordered shrimp and crab pasta with greek salad.Salad had a little too much peppers to my liking.Pasta was cooked great and had plenty crab pieces.I have seen some bad reviews about service speed and food, if you ask me, go with a positive attitude and use the time to look around the decor or the building, get your food and leave with a happy tummy.

Paulo's Italian Trattoria
Great place to eat at with friends or family. Chef does an amazing job. If you are looking for a quick coffee date or meet up for a meeting, this is the place to visit. Owner is friendly and respectful, as are the servers. The food is pricey, but worth the cost. Highly recommended. Enjoy this taste of Italy.

Arrived at exact moment of reservation and were seated. Sat for 15 minutes while multiple serving staff walked by us. I had to ask hostess if our server was around. Mind you the restaurant was only 30 to 40 % full. Hostess brought water which we poured ourselves and then 5 minutes later our server finally showed up. We had already decided on meal choice. We ordered; a bottle of konzelmann Chardonnay, soda water, calamari to start, house salad and aloha pizza. After 2 or 3 minutes server returned with Jackson Triggs Sauvignon Blanc, which we sent back finally came back with correct wine, no ice or soda. Table next to us which was seated 10 minutes after we were seated received there apps before us. Calamari arrived with a dish of frozen seafood sauce, and was bland and unbearably chewy. (Definitely frozen garbage). When pizza and salad arrived, crust was noticeably burnt, middle of pie was raw, salad was ok but I could make it with spring mix and Kraft raspberry dressing. Service was slow, Pidgeon was entertaining, food was not worth the wait. Also dated and confused about what Italy was supposed to be. All in all definitely won't eat here again my girlfriend ate here 15 years ago and nothing changed. I would give zero stars but not an option.

I was very impressed with the service, food and ambience . From announcing the feature items with great detail through to big smiles, a few respectful laughs and general happiness from the staff, I felt I was in the hands of professionals. That is a very rare thing for me these days as I leave most restaurants with some annoyance.I had known this to be a good restaurant years ago but Bellville has changed and my expectations were quite low. They certainly exceeded all of my expectations, and I will return the next time I am in Bellville.

Had dinner at this amazing Italian restaurant in Bellville. Great service, good ambience.The pasta was splendid. I had the Alfredo Linguine. It had a great flavour with subtle hits of Onion and herb. The pizza was alright. Definitely reccomend the pasta.

I don't comment often, but tonight was a disappointing birthday dinner out for my wife. Poor, lazy service, and lacklustre food. Comments on the poor food were met with a blank stare and the disappearance of our server until we were done eating. Definitely not the standard of service and quality of food we have had in the past.

Server was friendly but they were under staffed. Seated over 15 mins before anyone came to the table. Pizza was good, some of the other meals were decent. The pasta special was crab and shrimp but pretty sure it was imitation crab.

We were greeted by Roberto, a 22 year Italian server, obviously very proud of this great restaurant. He seated the four of us at a table in the most beautiful indoor/outdoor terrace, explained the menu and wine... We could taste the quality of the pasta, the salmon, the pork and the salad in every bite! That with a good Italian wine...

Great indoor and outdoor setting. Nice staff. Not really authentic Italian. Every dish had a different spin on it that changed the authenticity of the dish..pasta and pizza was good. Even the name is not Italian. Paul in Italian is spelled Paolo. Lol.
