Jack Layton Ferry Terminal
The ferry terminal hasn't changed much in years, and that's a good thing. It's easy to get a ticket or use a ticket to get on the ferry and make your way to the islands. Be prepared for longer line-ups and frequent delays in the summer months!

Had an amazing ride at the Jack Layton Ferry. The views are amazing specially at night time. The Centre Island is a beautiful Island be ready to spend your entire day there. They have rides, beach, play area, walking area, fountain, garden, and snack stop if weather is nice what else you need. We had to wait around 40 min for departure ferry to arrive at the Island which was kind of tiring specially with kids.

You can travel to three islands from here. For most people it is a way back home however a lot of people are taking the boats to see the skyline of Toronto.

Very disorganized. Sure if you get your ticket online you get in the gate faster, but it is a free for all once you’re waiting to get on. No lines or anything. This doesn’t seem fair to people who wait a lot longer and people just coming in can squeeze through past you. A better system is needed, such as having line ups. Feels like a zoo waiting in one giant crowd!

Get tickets in advance to skip the longer line to get through buying tickets. It saves little bit of time especially when you still have to wait to get on.The ferry ride is nice and does have some great views. Does get packed so getting any sort of good spot will be tough if you didnt get on early.Reason for 3 stars is the wait returning was at least 1hr longer that when the ferry should've came in. The line for getting back was the worst there needs to be a better system than everyone rushing shoulder to shoulder and cutting people off.

Everything has changed since last few years. Prices have increased, population has increased but they only have 2 ferries working on the route to Centre Island. They overload the ferries each way. It’s like they are playing with the passengers lives. No priority seating whatsoever. Children and elderly were standing all the way

Very nice experience at this ferry terminal and ferry rode was nice. It has two decks and rides are available frequently! Reasonably priced, about 8 bucks to and fro. Seniors, kids has discounted prices as well.Convenient to buy tickets online.Because it is reasonable, expect ample amount of riders with you. Find your spot to stand and enjoy the TO skyline view. Everyone wants to enjoy the view so chances are you might not be able to enjoy how you would like to. But Toronto people are accommodating :)This ferry also has clean washrooms! Will return again :)

Got tickets online.. But still ended up standing in Q while going to island. It was still okay but it was night mare coming back with kids , elderly people. There is absolutely no Crowd management while coming back. We were in line for 2.5 hours just to get into boat. Also not many food options for late night stuck people.. I know it's odd day but they should either limit number of people entering island or make proper arrangements. Also $10 for return trip is way to costly for this kind of mess.

Very typical poor public service. Staff are yelling and angry to have to be managing thousands of irate people who need to travel back and forth to the islands. On this particular Sunday afternoon, the wait to board ferry (after purchasing tickets) was 90min. The queue to return was two hours. Here's a hint: provide more than one ferry an hour and everyone's problems will be alleviated.Compare this joke of a service to the Staten Island ferry in NYC. Do you think Americans would put up with literally being cordoned off from exiting the ferry once it has docked?
