Great place! And mouth watering food at the restaurant! Amazing sights on the trails, worked a little sweat getting to the peak but it was well worth it(even in the rain!) Outstanding staff friendly and open! Lots of stuff to do there!

This is a place that took my breath away, the drive was also beautiful. You completely loose yourself in the beauty here. The pictures don't do it justice. You feel like your on top of the world and can touch the sky & the mountains here. The staff are amazing knowledgeable friendly and have multiple activities to keep you busy. Including Canoeing, an Aerial Obstacle Course, zip lines, hiking, swimming ect. There are cabins near the water to rent or you can enjoy a day trip or ( book for a school field trip! the kids had a blast!!) I will definitely be a returning customer next summer.

Strathcona Park Lodge was a beautiful, rustic setting for our wedding this summer. We chose SPL for its low-key outdoor atmosphere, variety of on-site accommodations, lack of cell service, delicious food and environmental stewardship. We were so pleased with the service we received throughout the weekend - many thanks to Kelly & team!Also, such a bonus to return from our honeymoon backpacking trip to the sound of the lunch buffet bell!

Strathcona Park Lodge is a very unique place. The kayaking and lake / mountain/ forest views are incredible. There's a large wood-fired sauna by the swimming beach, that's free for Lodge guests to use any time. Highly recommend.

We went to SPL for a short weekend getaway. Our family of 7 stayed in one of the cabins and it was really nice! We also did some canoeing and kayaking. The kids actually had a ton of fun even though there’s no wifi!!! They we’re unconnected for 3 days and had requested to come again next year.

It was my first but hopefully not the last trip to Vancouver island. My road trip included a few days stay in Strathcona Park. I booked with the lodge and I am glad I did. We had a very enjoyable stay. We loved the lodge, the service and location with manageable proximity to many beautiful hiking trails in the park. Whenever I return to Vancouver Island again (hopefully sooner than later), I will be happy to stay here for a bit longer.Thank you for all your work to make people enjoy their stay.

Didn't actually stay there but went in as lost and weary travellers in search of information, but left as informed and enlightened Strathcona connoisseurs. All thanks to the incredibly kind and helpful Nathan who gave us all the advice and local knowledge we could ask for. Absolute mensch.

We rented a lodge for 8 people and paid more than $500/night in September of 2021.The location was beautiful, the beds comfortable, and the place was clean. The lack of wifi was relaxing.However, we were having a family get away, all adults, ready to hang out and play board games etc. The living room was too small to accommodate both a dining table for eight and a couch with coffee table. So we had to make do with bench seats for both dining and playing games. It was not a hardship because it was rustic, but for that kind money, I expected much more.The kitchen was okay, but very small so hard to cook together. Two people in the kitchen was crowded.I told the staff when we left and they had nothing much to say, just sort of nodded and smiled weakly. We don't mind paying but the place should have matched the price.

Quite a remarkable property at the entrance to Strathcona Park. An off the grid gem with amazing views and tons of recreational activities. Great place to stay if you’re exploring the area and looking to get a healthy dose of nature. Be warned, off the grid means it’s not stacked with amenities so don’t go in with high expectations of luxury.

While I appreciate the customer service I recently received I'm disappointed with the Strathcona Lodge's cancellation policy. It seems unreasonable and inflexible. Circumstances can change unexpectedly, and it's not fair to penalize guests for something outside of their control. I urge the lodge to reconsider their policy and show more empathy towards their guests.A more flexible policy would go a long way towards earning customer loyalty and positive reviews.You cannot beat the location but even so I did not enjoy my first stay a couple years ago, the rooms are just fine and the food is nothing to write home about, but my husband and I decided to give it another go based on other reviews we figured we just got a lemon so to speak. As it stands, we will be hesitant to refer and book with the Strathcona Lodge in the future.
