From the outside one could not tell if the business was open or closed. Although the open" sihn was lit the restaurant from the outside was totally dark with a "for sale" sign in the window. The food I ordered was only fair and not enough of an encouragement to have the ever return."

If you're in the hertel area this is a must stop! Pastelitos beef and chicken are amazing everything else there also amazing it's a must stop in!

Spot on peurto Rican spot. Great prices excellent food. Started off with a beef and cheese pastelillos and bacalaltos. The bacalaltos was fried crispy and light with a mild cod flavor .pastelillos were cooked perfectly and not too greasy and had a nice amount of meat and cheese. Had the cuban toaton sandwich, which I believe was on green plantains insteasd of bread . The meat was cooked till falling apart and the plantains were fried crispy. Definitely will be back.

Very friendly staff. Alcapurrias were excellent. White rice, beans and pork chops were like my mom used to make them. A bit more salt would earn an extra star

Food has no flavor, I asked for rice and beans and pernil and I got like a bean soup. Not authentic at all Hispanic food . Wouldn’t recommend and the young lady taking orders is very dry.

All I can see is this one lady in the back cooking… I came from my job to try this place for the first time. I have to say the food is phenomenal… I would definitely order here again better than Niagara cafe.

I have never had something so dry and flavorless in my life. I can’t believe this restaurant is still in business. They need to be embarrassed of themselves.

I'm updating this review. Because The cave is under new management. The daughter and the mother and the grandmother are gone... Along with the good food. It is now okay food. The pork was decent, yellow rice and beans okay. Tostones were nicely fried.. but the garlic hot sauce dip. Is long gone, and now it's replaced with some mayonnaise abomination. Won't be going back. Makes me sad.I love la kueva. Super nice girl working there, very helpful makes suggestions to a white boy like me. She right we love beef and cheese pastelitos!!! Roast pork, rice and beans!!! Tostones!!!! All a must. Love it!
