My wife, sons and I recently had dinner here while vacationing in the area. The atmosphere was great, the food fresh and delicious, and the service excellent. We enjoyed it so much we went back a second night. I highly recommend!

Restaurant Le Bistro Montebello
Absolutely phenomenal place.Stayed at the fairmont close by, decided to check out the town of Montebello and very happy we did.Came on a Friday afternoon, quite a few tables and looked decently busy. We had the carpaccio and calamari salad. Carpaccio was fantastic, flavour bang on, the mushroom mayo that accompanied it was such a compliment to the whole dish. Calamari was seasoned incredibly well with the breading, reminded me of a fried chicken dredge (similar seasoning)2 pizzas and a bunch of drinks we had a blast! So much so we had to change plans and come back on the next day for lunch before we left.Piri piri octopus and foie gras poutine. Both amazing, flavours on everything we had was bang on, cooked perfectly, and not too long of a wait. Service was fantastic, kitchen staff should be proud of what they are accomplishing. Pizza guy was spinning pies effortlessly, was a joy to watch him work. Amazing all around, thank you to the whole staff for making our time so memorable .This place will be the main reason for us driving a 7 hour trip again to come back!!

Overall, the food is extraordinary. Quite an eclectic place with some guests there for the pizza and beer mixed with rich tourists there for the fine dining. Makes for a loud main dining room. I noticed the prices were significantly higher than even the most recent menu photos here. I don't know if that mean they jacked the prices just this week or if they have a distinct menu for Saturday night.

Parking was full at 5:30 on a Saturday, and I had to park somewhere on the streets.The pizza was incredibly delicious.The staff was very niceVery clean place.

There was a problem with reservations and we waited for half an hour past our reservation time but once we sat and ordered it was a great experience. Everything we ordered were great and very tasty. We took soup of the day ( veggies) ,onion soup , Shrimps, filet mignon, salmon, and pizza . Arugula salad was so delicious. All main dishes come with rise and veggies. Highly recommend.

We saw the portion sizes and opted to have 3 appetizers... The calamari was thinly sliced and perfectly fried. The smoked trout was good. The steak tartare was very good. Prices were reasonable. The service was very good and had the feeling of a team approach - bringing the food when it was ready. The atmosphere was homey yet utilitarian. We quite liked it and would go back.

Charming location, serving delicious plates, wine and cocktails. They stole my heart at the warm bread on the house, they brought to get us started. The pan-fried foie gras appetizer didn’t disappoint, as well as the Cod fillet main plate and the Mushroom Ravioli - all beyond expectations. The staff may need a bit more serving training but the kitchen is definitely run by professionals, which is what matters.There is parking both next to the restaurant and across the street.We will stop by again when we’re back in the area.

Restaurant Le Bistro Montebello
The food here is fantastic. I had cold smoked trout with blueberry confit as an appetizer and mushroom risotto in shallot cream sauce and Truffle oil as a main. Both were terrific.Definitely make a reservation. We arrived Friday night at 7 without one and the available table was 8. It was worth the wait.
