We are so incredibly happy we chose to build with Dream. We couldn’t have had a better experience from start to finish! Heather, Rob, Jeff and the rest of the team were wonderful, responsive and so skilled to work with, and now we have the most beautiful home! The style, design, quality and materials are all top of the line and it just looks amazing inside and out. I would recommend homes by dream to anyone looking for a high quality, magazine worthy new home.

We signed contract for our new home at Harbour Landing on April 14th and possession date was July 13th 2018. Heather, Area Sales Manager was our main contact person and she coordinated everything from signing contract, arranging lawyer, completing mortgage works and handing over possession at right time. After hand over, whenever, I contacted with Dream for any work related to our new home, Jennifer, Customer Service Administrator responded quickly and acted responsibly.

You cant get it better. We inquired from many builders until we got to Homes by Dream. Fantastic customer service, awesome people, equally great after sales, after possession support.

Changed the name and no longer has the same service. Had roof problems since day one and they said they would take care of it if problems arise. They did at first but no longer even though they probably should have replaced roof to begin with. I will not deal with a builder who does not keep their word.

When it was Dundee it seemed to be a bit better, however we have had MANY issues and it is like pulling teeth to reach someone and forget getting someone out.In the few short years we have had siding ripple and wave in the wind, seals in windows go, water in a closet (interior wall all the way to basement in the wall) but all they did was fix the plumbing that the plumber cut did not fix the inside soaked drywall. We were told our garage ceiling was sprayed in, it was NOT. We have had an ongoing leak and they now say NOPE sorry need to call a roofer, however it is interior wall again and they had been back twice as well as two of their supervisors BOTH said this was not done correctly and ensured us it would be looked after and repaired. They did not repaint the spot as they were watching it - we are now told no it was fixed, your problem now. Insurance has stated as they originally took responsibility it is Dreams issue, they admitted it was done incorrectly. It is not homes by dream NONE of this is a dream. From issues all over the home, water leaks, siding issues, no final SaskPower inspection (which when we had done didn't pass I should add) to drywall joints VERY visible to where THEIR painter didn't even want to paint it as it was so poorly done and has been back a few times to try to minimize . Floors are scratched, baseboards not meeting up properly, toilet not level- some are little issues but when they came to do the walk through at possession they place green tape on all the issues and imperfections- not ONE SINGLE room was left without green tape and it took YEARSSSS and is on going to get someone out. I appreciated the time to do the walk through, but for what they don't repair anything ?!They are a rush job mid grade to say the least. If you want a home that will be lipstick on the outside go here but if you want a home to last years I would personally suggest elsewhere.

Poor service. Everytime we contacted Home By Dream for our 1 year door to door warranty, they tried telling us we didnt know what we were talking about, EVERYTIME THEY were wrong. Covid came and warranty work was pushed off.Expect to pay alot for a shell of a house and don’t t expect anything else.

Buying our first home in December 2018 with Homes by Dreams was a delightful experience. Right from our first meeting with the Area Sales Manager, Heather who transparently and patiently walked us through the various options and home types they have, to organizing working with a mortgage broker and a lawyer, the experience was amazing! We took possession promptly as planned on December 19 and Jeff on their team walked us through our new home. Contacting him has been so easy to address our questions post-possession. I will highly recommend buying from Homes by Dreams, they have an amazing after sales service and it is truly a delight to deal with their team.SL Oyedele.

First class customer service from start to finish from the girl in the show house at Westerra onto Myles who was great support to my wife and I through the whole buying process.I would have put 5 stars but just had the 2 month inspection done and now I feel like I’m dealing with the contractors who worked on the house, never bought the house from the contractors who worked on it,just feel the issues should be dealt with between Homes By Dream and the contractors not me,front door needs to be replaced as it is warped but I’ve to wait nearly 2 weeks with no phone call from the door people because that’s what I’ve been told when I asked what’s happening with the front door as nothing mentioned since the 2 month check, cold air coming in is bad, never bothered anyone as I thought I’d leave the cold air problem until the 2 month check, wish I hadn’t now,

I’m coming up on two years now since I purchased my first place from Homes by Dream and it’s been a bit of a mixed bag for how the experience has been but i’ll list some of my experiences here for anyone else to make their decision off of.I went and looked at the unit and it was a place that would work for my situation although the unit I would buy wasn’t built yet and possession wouldn’t be for about 6 months. Other’s of this same unit were being planned on and not being sold yet but they said they ordered the material already and I was unable to change anything about the color scheme. (Nothing could be pushed to a unit being built after mine) That wasn’t a deal breaker for me so I went ahead with things. When I went in and checked on the progress the builders contracted out were great to talk to and deal with and dealt with any questions or concerns I had with no problems.Possession day came in Sept and was told any concerns I had to just let Dream know about and would be able to go from there. Interior build was fine and there were no issues. I ended up having a problem with the furnace but that was covered with warranty and fixed within the day.I purchased a middle unit of 3 with unsold units on both sides. I was hoping I would have neighbors to split the cost of the fence by the time summer came but they were still empty. I reached out about splitting the cost with Dream since that would add to the value of the unsold units but was told that they do not deal with fences and wouldn’t split any cost. That would be fine if it wasn’t for the fact now an unsold corner unit has a fence built on the one side that doesn't border any other unit and either have to pay for it themselves or whoever buys it so what was told to me wasn’t true and instead said to have me pay for in full. One of these units is still empty and the backyard was overgrown with weeds and foxtail. I have a dog and foxtail is a major concern for a dog so it blowing into my backyard was a worry. The weeds only ended up being cut a week or two after sending in an email to the city without moving any of it to the garbage. Since this was dealt with so late it is something I've now had to deal with growing in my yard. The front landscaping didn’t have enough mulch so the dirt was showing and didn’t look great as well as being too low so there was a gap showing underneath the stairs on both sides. I never received any response about this when I followed up and ended up being done myself when my neighbor was getting rid of his and let me use the leftover. I received a link to a review and mentioned this same problem about the neighboring unit and when I mentioned I had seen a mouse under those steps and that gap was soon covered up.Ultimately the place itself I'm happy with but it is a business. Like any business the bottom line is what matters and I can’t blame anyone for that but it was the things after the sale that detracted from the experience. After the sale had finished and I had them as my “neighbors” in a sense, for a company building homes and trying to build a community they were anything but neighborly. I'm just glad bigger issues didn't come up that needed to be dealt with.

Poor quality. The house looks great and all but quality is horrible! We had a few shingles fly off the roof last week and now a whole 8 ft peice of decorative trim from above our window fell down. This could have seriously hurt someone. The peice was poorly attached to the house with just a few staples and glue. I should also add that this peice looks like it's made from hard foam not wood. This gives you an idea on how cheap they are too. When we took the peice down, we saw that someone wrote their name on the inside with glue instead of properly putting the right amount of glue to attach the peice to the house. How ridiculous!.
