Menu has changed, so if you came here prior you’ll notice this. Some of the really good rolls are no longer there! Little higher than average prices. Staff was friendly. Space was clean. Got served moldy beer, but restaurant did not charge and was very apologetic. Seating is upstairs. Not overly large.

The food was amazing. The service was impeccable. The decor is nice.As the dining area is upstairs and the kitchen is on the lower level, big props to our server who basically never stopped running up and down those stairs to bring us our food and service - and always with a smile. Well done!The fish tank needs to be cleaned and arranged for the type of fish in it, and I’d also recommend a canister style filter (Or even a submersible filter) that way there isn’t a filter hanging over a dining table :/ .

My fiancé and I are very picky when we go eat out for sushi. However, when we went to this cute little restaurant the ambience was excellent, they served high quality fresh sushi, and the service was great.It’s a must try if you’re a sushi lover! You will not be disappointed.

Absolutely loved our experience here. We had a few rolls and tempura which were great. The server was very nice to my son and we had a great time.

We decided to give this place a shot. We were seated up stairs. We ordered a few rolls like bakudan, cucumber and philly. Also order miso and a Korean seafood pancake. The rolls were fine, the cucumber roll was really nice, said my daughter. The miso was super basic. The pancake was greasy, thin and undercooked. We asked to have it switched to a quick sweet potato noodle dish. It tasted good but so greasy. The residue on the plate was thick. Otherall an ok place for basic sushi. Not a fan of the Korean offerings.

My partner and I always stop here for a meal when we are in the area and have never been disappointed!Today, we took my partners mother out for dinner and once again had another great experience!The service was fantastic and the food was delicious!His mother has dietary restrictions (requires gluten-free), and they went above and beyond, making sure everything we ordered was both gluten-free and tasted great.We highly recommend eating here!

Another great sushi option in Winnipeg. Close to IKEA and Costco. Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff.The sushi was delicious! The turn around time from order to when the food cam to the table was impressively fast. I would highly recommend the House Roll.Lots of parking.We will definitely be back.

I have been a very loyal customer for years here cause I really like their sushi. Every order I make would reach up to $60 for 5 rolls which is a bit tbh. It’s a hit & miss for a friendly tone whenever I call. I don’t like the tone of a younger man who takes the order, not very friendly at all and sometimes arrogant like he doesn’t care whether I order or not but I tolerated him for a while cause I like the place until…I tried another place on Waverley. I was taken by surprised to find out they not only have great sushi but for Approx $20 less too !!! Sorry Umi…you lost me. In today’s market…you’re gonna need to be nicer.

Great little spot! We were very happy with the service and food was excellent. Yakisoba noodles, shrimp tempura and a teriyaki chicken roll for the kids and the small $50 sushi boat for the parents! Did not disappoint, great value for the quality of food and really hit the spot. My 10 year old daughter said it was the best sushi she’s ever had! Well done Umi!
