Shoko is a phenomenal pedagogue, bringing an immense depth of technical knowledge and experience to each lesson which she is able to articulate at a level appropriate to the student. She also helps guide the student on their personal exploration of the emotional and spiritual qualities of music, gently encouraging each to shape their playing in a way that is uniquely their own. Shoko’s holistic approach to music lessons is unlike any that I have experienced previously and has led me to advance my studies and expand my love for music in ways unimagined.

Shoko has been an incredible gift in my life. Shoko is far and away the best teacher I have ever had. Throughout my piano journey I have had the privilege of working with many instructors, but none come near the calibre of Shoko’s teaching. Her teaching brings life to music, drawing connections with music and nature. Not only is she a wonderful teacher, she is an amazing person. Ms. Shoko Inoue is such a marvellous instructor, a superb pianist, and a beautiful person from inside out! She not only taught me how to play the piano, but also the philosophy of life such as how to relax and how to contain emotions. In addition to her professionalism as a pianist, she truly cares for her students and customises her lessons to suit each student's needs and personalities. I enjoyed every minute of my lessons with her.
