Spiritwood Carlton Inn

Worst customer service ever. They are the only hotel/motel in Spiritwood so feel that they are able to have dirty stained rooms and extremely rude reception. They are overpriced for the accommodations. Never before have we made a customer complaint anywhere we have stayed and through our business we travel a lot. Will be driving the extra 2 hours over ever staying here again.

Horrible experience. We had dirty towels and found a piece of sandpaper in one bed. One bed was so old all you could feel was springs. I asked the manager for a discount and she called me a liar. She was very rude. After arguing she gave me two dollars and told me to go buy some chips or something. Very very rude!!!

Booked a week there for work. Had to book a room with 2 beds because that's all they got. The first night I checked both beds for bed bugs. The next day the lady is calling me saying I need to pay extra for the second bed since someone slept in it. I told her I just checked for bed bugs but no one else slept there but me. She kicked me out.The place has old carpets and cigarette burns all over the place. Beds and blankets looks to be original to when the building first opened.The heater was broken in the unit I stayed in with a sticky note do not use heater.If you can avoid staying here.

Old decor and old appliances but big rooms with very comfy beds. Staff is nice and If you need a place to sleep in what id call the middle of nowhere, this place is great!

Oct 27/18It took several attempts to get through and the message cache was full so we could not leave our number for a return call. On the fifth try 4 hours later we reached the female owner who took my credit card info and held a room saying it was the last one available. When we arrived at 9pm there were only 3 other patrons at the motel. The nightly rate started at 120$ and quickly escalated as she was going to charge $50 for each of our two dogs that were going to overnight in their truck kennels. Her explanation was that she didn't trust that our dogs were going to be in the truck the whole night. In my opinion it seems that because they are the only motel in town (there are two bed and breakfasts as well) that they look for ways to hijack people in an effort to raise rates. I chose to get a room in the next town east rather than deal with her drama and rate hikes. I suggest others consider the same choice. Good luck.

Can you say bed bugs!!The room we were in was infested with bed bugs and we had to stay the night in that bed bug infested Inn for work and there was no hot water and it was very over priced! If you are traveling and are tired keep driving and do not stop or stay here at all costs. We never got any sleep due to the fact we could feel the bed bug crawling on us. The place is run down! Stay clear!

Was closed when I went by so I slept outside in my car. I guess making reservations may have been the thing to do. But i had no idea I'd get so tired and need to sleep. However...parking lot was very quiet and kept car warm

Definitely overpriced - but what options do you have in a small town? Watch that you don't get charged twice - once when you book and then when you stay there!

I booked this hotel a month ago and I asked to have the receipt emailed to me. The Manager was very rude and didn't even bother to look up the hotel charge to send to me. She said she may or may not send it. I'll never book this property again.
