Ono Poké

Such an amazing experience every time! I have lots of food allergies and eating out is so difficult. Here, the staff are always so kind and help adapt meal options for me! Special shout-out to Jon and Tyler for their patience and adaptability. You’ll see me again soon!

One of our family favorite spots. This amazing poke place is right beside Best Buy store at Uptown and across the street directly from McDonald’s. Parking here is a easy as we often go to Walmart and walk over to Ono for yummy poke. Staff and customer service is amazing. Never feel guilty about indulging here as they have wide selection of healthy choices! Thanks Ono team!

Been wanting to try this place for a few weeks now. Arrived at 6:30pm, they were closing at 7pm.What's great with the poke dishes is that there's a high possibility that they'll take orders until pretty late. It was nice to see them take orders until 7 minutes to close, but I'm sure it's best not to wait til last minute before they close.There's seating inside and outside, the establishment looked clean.I was overwhelmed by the variety of items that you could mix and match, but if you are not sure, they have plenty of pre-chosen combinations for you. I got the classic Ono Poke, and the husband got a salmon poke (not sure which one). The toppings are optional, but you can pick and choose, or ask for all.It was delicious, lots of flavour, and just the right portion for me. With the make-your-own combos, you could choose the sizes between small, medium or large. I would have wanted it a bit more spicy, but I did just choose the ponzu sauce for my poke.I love tuna, so this was something that's worth a visit. They have a variety of drinks available at a cooler inside the store.With raw I'm sure it's a bit tricky to ensure quality, but my stomach felt just fine after having a meal from Ono Poke. The price was decent for me, I would definitely come for more, trying other flavours.There is a lot of variety to choose from for your protein, so maybe expect to take some time choosing- or just pick from the menu instead to try!

Very large portions for the price! I couldn’t even finish the small size. I got a rice bowl and my boyfriend for a salad bowl. There’s a wide variety of toppings/ingredients (you can choose up to 5), they were all nice and fresh. There were a few special add ons that were quite pricey though (ex: avocado or marinated egg for $2). Interior of the restaurant seems new and is well lit and clean. You can get your food very quickly and there are lots of different grab n go drinks! Would recommend stopping by to try this place at least once if you’re in the area as a tourist like us haha

The vegan bowl is delicious! Portions are generous and there is a good variety of toppings and sauce options. This is a new favourite place of mine!

Short review : easily the best poke place I have ever been to.Long review :Poke is trendy, and sadly sometimes trends allow bad restaurants to become created. Ono is not one of those places. If every other poke place closed I wouldn't be upset.Pros:Ambience - this is maybe top 5 of ALL restaurants in Victoria as far as look , feel, and overall ambience.Staff: As soon as we opened the door we were treated with a happy hello and a glowing smile , we could see under a mask!Food: I took my grandmother and she is very picky as she has dietary restrictions , and also is picky about food. The plan was to share a bowl. There were so many choices that we felt torn between what to get but the staff really helped us by asking what we like, flavors and fish wise. Ended up with a mix bowl and were not sad at allDrinks/munchies : they have a lot of great options for drinks and other non main meal things to eat. From spam pressed sushi to other side dishes. We had the mango juice and white peach drink and both were great.Price: Costs are rising everywhere. So we looked at the value. We split a large bowl and easily felt it was with the cost. Compared to restaurants we would rather go to Ono and there is no point comparing to McDonald's or fast food as it would be silly.Speed/service : After the staff helped explain all the options it was maybe 3 mins from order to being completed. You don't get that at any other place let alone for amazing food.OVERALL: 5/5 stars is too little. The environment, quality of food, service , and value is unmatched. My granny only wanted a couple bites and ended up finishing 80% of the bowl.... And these aren't small servings either.Would recommend and honestly there is nothing bad to say about it. Fresh fish, sauces, and great environment with knowledgeable staff.The only thing I feel bad for, is the other poke places in town as there is honestly no reason to even try anywhere else.

Hands down the best Pokè place in town. I have not had pokè anywhere else since I discovered Ono Pokè.The ingredients are always fresh and tasty. The rice is done like how it should be! Also I appreciate the customer service here. Always friendly and helpful.

Great service, clean restaurant and delicious food! Probably one of the best poke bowls I’ve had in a long time. I had the ono ahi tuna and the limo limo salmon medium dish and we also had the spicy salmon snack bowl. The salmon is actually very spicy! More spicy than regular, so keep that in mind!!So fresh, and such a great selection of fish. I will be coming back!!! Also they have loyalty cards

It was the third poke place in my life where I have had food, but it is the best one! The first time I felt that ingredients on my plate actually work great together. Everything was delicious. Moreover, the restaurant itself is nice, clean and very welcoming. Definitely a good dining option if you’re in Uptown.
