Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Waterloo St. Jacobs

We enjoyed our visit. Nice and friendly service. Very clean room. Best part was the complimentary breakfast. Lots of choices to eat, buffet had everything to fill your belly and leaving satisfied. Will definitely go back!

This hotel had a conference group staying while we were there visiting family. The hotel decided to manage the buffet breakfast by making everyone wait in a line while the staff served. By the time I got my cereal and muffin, my eggs were cold. I ended up not eating them--wasted. I can understand they would want to serve the hot food like eggs, sausage, waffles. But if they would have let us grab our own muffin and cereal, the lines would have been shorter and moved more quickly. I will certainly never visit a Hampton again when there is a conference going on.

We stayed for 2 nights at Hapton Inn and we loved everything about it. The room was clean, quiet, and beautiful. The pool was enjoyable for children. The breakfast wasn't our taste but enjoyed the simple breakfast. The receptionists were helpful and we felt welcomed. The location is a plus. We would come back anytime. Thank you.

The hotel is okay but not great. Our toilet seat was shaking, and the screws needed some tightening. The supervisor or whoever she is was very rude. She was banging on my door at 12 noon and telling me it was time for me to check out. I know the checkout time is 12 noon, and I didn't need anybody to bang on my door. That was very rude and inappropriate.I will not return to this hotel again, and I will not recommend it to anyone.

Great hotel. Everything was new, clean and breakfast was also very good. There were some brazillians working in the kitchen and they were amazing. Extremely happy with my stay. I highly recommend it.

Stayed at this location while attending an event at the University Of Waterloo. New Hotel and great location.Quiet enough without a lot of traffic but close enough to some restaurants and the farmers market.The staff was very friendly and quick to help with any issues.Breakfast was also provided with the typical options.There is also a great fitness centre and pool for those that are interested and wanting to stay in shape.Definitely a place to return too on our next trip to the area.

Hello everyone I spent a lovely Canada Day at Hampton. Today I turned 65. The lovely lady at the front counter wished me a happy birthday. I sat down for breakfast and to my surprise the staff came out with a muffin 1 candle (thank you for only 1). Two balloons. Everyone sang happy birthday and tears ran down my face. (Happy tears). What a nice surprise. Thank you again.

Extreme policing and harassment of paying patrons.This is a hotel that signed up for teams hosting sports activities and it awfully unfriendly to children and parents.We had a basketball tournament around Kitchener and this was one of the hotel listed. We were policed by security from day one sitting in the lobby watching TV and having drinks in the bar. We literally had security guards standing right by us as we(basketball team) are watching NBA playoff and telling us to be quiet in the assigned place for watching sports activities. This is purely harassment and it's shameful to think we spend that much money to be treated like this.We moved the team to our room to watch and we were followed and told we were matching too much noise when you could not even hear us from walking in the hallways.We've used many hotels over the last 4 years and have never been treated by any hotel like that......extremely unpleasant.I just checked your reviews and it appears the sentiment is quiet similar out there.....very unfortunate because it's a nice hotel itself but the level of harassment is absurd.I will be writing a letter to the basketball association as well to advise of our treatment and make sure our money is spent where we will be treated with respect.
