We tried to book a service appointment for several weeks without luck. Left voice messages on different extensions, called from different phones, used the online contact form and did not get contacted. Unfortunately, will not be using HI Mechanical in the future.

We were recently faced with having replace our ducted Heatpump system here in Lake Cowichan. We ended up going with HI Mechanical and are so very happy that we did. Communication with Kelsey and Tristan was easy, prompt and quickly lead to an on-site inspection of the old system. We received a quote within a couple days which clearly defined the recommended equipment, intended works and labour required for the replacement, and this total $ amount did not change once the project was completed. They were able to source the new system within a few weeks and performed the install once it was in hand, both aspects which during these current times usually comes with a great deal of uncertainty. They sent three journeymen to perform the replacement install and despite having to work in a very confined crawl space, were able to complete the job in under a day. They were very polite, professional and took great care in our home and in their work. Despite the equipment being heavy and cumbersome, and having to move all of it in very tight spaces, they left not even a scratch on any of the new components. They also left the space where they worked spotless, leaving no garbage or even dust behind. This level of care and attention to detail we found to be truly remarkable and near impossible to find in the current trades sector. It was very apparent that they take a tremendous amount of pride in their work and go the extra mile to ensure the owner is satisfied. Another aspect that was very reassuring was being able to rely on their experience, professional insights and honesty when it came to the selection of the replacement equipment. After comparing the installed equipment with those defined in quotes received from other companies, we quickly released that we received industry leading equipment which was not only bigger, more efficient and with a superior warranty, but was supplied to us at a cost under what the competitors had quoted for their products. This speaks volumes to HI’s integrity and how they operate. We truly feel that we got the absolute best in every regard and payed less for it. This project went from being a very daunting endeavour to one which we feel so good about, and we really have to thank them for that. I forgot to mention that they even carted away all the old components for us and ensured that all aspects of the new system were functioning flawlessly prior to their departure. We could not be happier with the new system and really want to extend our appreciation and gratitude for the whole experience HI provided. The level of service we were afforded goes unmatched and came without any guess work or unknowns. A BIG THANK YOU to Kelsey, Tristan, Joe and Clint. We will definitely be calling for any future heating or cooling needs.

The fan on our heat pump unit stopped working right in the middle of a heat wave! I contacted H.I. Mechanical through email on a Sunday evening and had a response first thing Monday morning. They were swamped with calls/appointments but promised to have a technician here on Tuesday between 1 and 3. Just after noon, he showed up and had our unit repaired within 15 minutes! The technician was professional, friendly and took the time to answer all of my husband’s questions. He gave us some great suggestions about how to keep our house cool when using AC as well. We highly recommend this company and will call them when we need to schedule a maintenance service in the future.

H.I. Mechanical, can't say good enough things about this company, first off they answer their phones, they book an appointment and they show up. Really hard to find a Heat Pump Service Mechanic in Victoria right now. Second the service man was great, courteous and did what needed to be done to get my heat pump up and running. Third they were very reasonably priced and I was grateful for their honesty and integrity, I had had another service man here from another company that wasn't so honest. Thanks again HI Mechanical for a job well done :)

We just said goodbye to the guys from H.I Mechanical after a two day retro-fit of a mini-split system. We have a large house with complicated installation issues, Sean gave us multiple options and recommended the lower cost one...... how often does that happen?The entire process was efficient, professional, friendly and the end result was far better than we expected. The installation crew of Ben. Joe, Clint and Jake were on time, extremely hard working and a pleasure to deal with.They estimated 3 days work and were done in 2. Oh and the final invoice was lower than the estimate!Another larger company that I contacted before H.I. Mechanical just got back to me after 6 weeks asking if I still wanted to book an estimate in November. Maybe they should take lessons from Sean and Joe on how to make a sale and have happy customers

H.I. Has been a valued partner with GableCraft homes for many years now. Their quality of work is outstanding along with their knowledgeable workforce. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a all-in-one mechanical contractor.

We just had a heat pump and new gas furnace installed by HI Mechanical. We are thrilled with this company's efforts, from original meeting with Sean, their outstanding sales guy, to the final installation crew Ben and his team and of course Kelsey's awesome office support. Tristan and Sean even called and spent 30 minutes walking us through the quote directly and honestly answering our questions before we signed the contract. The customer service is outstanding with timely responsive answers. And yes I asked a lot of questions. We consulted other companies. The quotes were pretty similar but the quality of the service, installation and supportive is beyond compare. Call this team. You won't be disappointed!

We inherited a leaky cast iron sewer pipe that was tricky to access, H.I. Mechanical was able to fix it in an hour or so. They were able to come on short notice and were pleasant to work with.

After an install by another company that left me with a non working heatpump for months and wanted more money to fix it, although they should have informed me there might be a problem BEFORE installing, I contacted Tristan to ask for his advice and opinion on the unit and if it needed what I was told it would for more money from the other company. Tristan and Joe came out and spent 2 hours accessing my unit, testing the airflow and telling me how to actually use the unit. They advised about changing the filter and anything else I wanted to know. They felt that what this other company wanted to do was very invasive and recommended a far less invasive way of correcting the problem. They even spoke with the other company telling them they should fix it for free because they should have advised me before. I asked Tristan and his staff to do the work as this other company was not willing to work with me and Tristan's company was respectfully and open. Within a week 2 of Tristan's guys came out and worked very respectfully, did a very good job and spoke to me about what they were doing and why. A couple of weeks later I asked Tristan to come out and check the units abilities which he did and again spoke to me of ways to adjust that would suit me, of why and how the unit worked and advised it did not need anymore done as it was working where it should be with their less invasive and clean revisement to a sloppy job from the other company. I highly recommend Tristan and his company for any type of work and will continue to use them.

We had recently moved to Victoria and we had some renovation work that we needed completed. We were referred to H.I. Mechanical and we were glad that we were. We dealt with one of the owners directly. One of their best attributes is communication. We were always kept informed of what work was going to completed and when the workers would be at our house. The owner listened to the scope of work that we were wanting completed which included installing a heat pump system and updating old plumbing. If we had any questions we ALWAYS received a quick response. I would absolutely recommend H.I. Mechanical if you need any plumbing or HVAC work.
