Henlong Market

They have so many options for foods and household upstairs. Usually pretty tight for space as there's often many people shopping there. But they tend to have helpful staff and are easy to find as there's lots of people working on the floor.Parking is terrible, so be warned.

Great selection at a great price. We will often make a trip out here specifically to buy some mangoes or some other item that the local stores do not have. They also have an Asian bakery and BBQ place in the store. If you don't feel like waiting around for parking on the ground level, they have underground parking around the corner which most people don't use.

This and TNT are the best come here to get my Rice Noodle dad got a bit of red snapper

I bought a 200g Quality brand coriander powder on Dec 7 2022. When I went home and put this in the curry it tasted horrible. When I checked the pack it was expired Jul 31 2022. When I went to return it today, the horrible customer service lady named Joyce gave me a sarcastic laugh and said well you should have checked before you buy it. Se also says it happen often and I promise you it won't be the last. Im not sure if the owners of henlong will think this way. But im sure the consumer Authorities in Canada will not be pf that view. When I told her I don't want the refund just give it back to me she snatched it from me and threw it in the bin. When I insisted i want it back she got security to ask me to leave. All I wanted was a genuine apology and a replacement. But I really feel now I should take action for this

Absolutely LOVE the Bahn Mi's from the Tasty sandwich stand just inside Henlong. Turn right when you enter, before you go inside the actually supermarket itself.I ordered 6 specials subs, and devoured all of them within a few days. I asked them to only heat up one since I was only going to eat the one right away. Out of the fridge I like to microwave it for ,30 seconds, then put it in the toaster oven for a light toast to get a subtle crunch. It's sooooo good that way.The special subs are now $5.50 each. A bit more expensive than they used to be (so is everything else) but still oh so delicious!Also got their tapioca dessert thing which has chunks of banana and something else. Very tasty, kind of on the sweeter side, $2.50 for a cup.

First floor are Fresh fruits and veggies. Lots selection of Asian grocery. On the second floor you can find house hold item and restaurant take-out container.

I have been shopping at henlong for a long time and I haven’t never have any problem until today. I went there to get ground pork because Walmart didn’t have it. And I grabbed a few more things. I paid for the items and the cashier didn’t give me a receipt on top of that I I didn’t realize that 1 item has fell to the bottom of my stroller. Security asked me to see a receipt and I told him that she either didn’t give it to me or I lost it. He then touch my stroller and the other lady came up to the stroller and asked me for the receipt. I said I don’t have it the cashier didn’t give it to me. She then asked me to go get receipt and want me to leave my 3 months old baby and the stroller with them. In the mean time when I was walking over to the cashier they went through my grocery bag that I just shop at Walmart and my baby diaper bag. Pretty much searching me throughout my stroller and even ask me to open the stroller cover where my baby was sleeping. Then she found one 1 item that I didn’t pay for at the bottom of my stroller. She said “you didn’t pay for this.” I said oh I’m sorry I can pay for that. She smirk at me and didn’t even apologize or say anything about their cashier didn’t give me a receipt. It was quite an embarrassing moment. I won’t be shopping with my stroller again or if you do shop there make sure you have everything ready for them to see pretty much doing a bag check before you walk out of their store.

Great selection of food from all over the world, especially Filipino and Chinese food. They have a good variety of baked Filipino desserts and bread. I feel like you can get hard to find goods here easier than in T&T. The only reason for four stars is that in one area it smells like strong urine.

I gave 5 stars because they got whatever I wanted and even wasn't in my grocery list I bought it because can't refuse to buy when it looked so good so the best place for me to buy my ingredients. The staffs always nice and helpful. Delicious Filipino foods there too, what a bonus! So this place is my favorite place to go for my Asian grocery shopping especially i love Mushroom soy sauce and only this place carry it. Never took pics of what I bought but remembered to take some this time.. lol..
