Went there as a treat for myself for finishing the school year, I walked in and the owner was really nice and it was my first time, though now I realized I missed the game room because I got nervous, nothing about the store its just who I am for some reason when I am really excited I just get nervous. (Will definitely look at it next time I go though)I bought some DnD stuff and a pride pin!

This place is amazing! The staff are so friendly and helpful. My son is 10 and asks ALOT of questions and they were so accommodating and kind. Great selection! Will definitely shop here again! Also they seem to be really involved in community stuff which is also very awesome!

The most magical, inclusive, lovely little shop! We held my son’s birthday here (pre-Covid) and it was so much fun. Jay and his team are all amazing people, who do so much to support the province and our LGBTQ2+ community.

I felt so welcome here which is such an accomplishment when selling comics and hobby materials. Next time I visit Nova Scotia this shop will be top priority

Stand-offish or aloof comic book owners are so common they're almost obligatory at this point and I've experienced my fair share, so being greeted by friendly and courteous folk like I am every time I come to Cape and Cowl is unbelievably refreshing. They may not always have what I'm looking for (I'm from out of town so I'm always a bit too late to the party), but they make every effort to accommodate, all while supporting local artists through the art on their walls and the books on their shelves. Always a lovely time visiting this place. ❤️

As someone with disabilities I have never once felt othered and in fact, have felt wholeheartedly supported by Jay, Blaire, and the Cape & Cowl community. Because I am in a wheelchair, I don’t often get to go into the physical store, but they are super kind and accommodating to my needs in terms of online shopping, answering questions and offering suggestions via social, and have even have helped me out with local delivery in the past. Their kindness and inclusion frequently make me want to find reasons to review, recommend and shop at Cape and Cowl. Not to mention how much they give back! Brava! ❤️✨

We came here today on our way through NS from Ontario assuming it would be your typical comic shop and wow were we ever surprised! First of all the owner is very friendly and welcoming. There is a wonderful array of things from toys, locally made crafts (jewelry, stickers, paintings, and so much more), comics, books, movies, games, just to name a few. The store is clean, organized, and very welcoming. The balance between locally made things and your typical comic shop items is perfect. I had a lot of fun looking through all the unique items. So glad we stopped in and would definitely recommend checking this little gem out. Wish we had this place back home! On a side note, make sure you bring a face mask as they still require you to wear one in store. If you don't have one, the owner has some you can take for a donation.

Jay (the owner) is an amazing person who goes out of his way to help his community on a daily basis. The shop is well stocked, has a safe and quiet area for people that can get overwhelmed by sensory input (like my son and I).There’s also home delivery depending on where you are.Amazing shop. I can’t praise it any higher because it deserves infinite praise.

I always feel very welcome here. The owner Jay still requests masks to be worn and I'm happy to do it because of how wonderful he is. He's super great too with the local artists. I went to sell some art in his store and he made me feel my art was worth more than I originally asked. He's awesome sauce!
