I am a patient of Dr. Bakshi. I have been coming to her for over a decade. She has administers more than 20 injections in both of my eyes. She is a brilliant doctor and is the reason I still have my vision today. Her quality of care is the reason I followed her from Mississauga, and choose to drive the hour from Milton. The staff here work incredibly hard at a thankless job. The amount of help and care this place puts out, outweighs and makes and wait times insignificant. I for one am thankful a place like this exists, regardless of wait times. Kudos Dr. Bakshi and the staff, you are doing miracle work.

Very unprofessional reception. Took my 81 year old mother for follow up after cataract surgery. Her surgeon moved to this location the office staff here did not have the skill set to transfer patients over so tried cancelling all the appointments instead my mother was called 2 hrs ahead of the appointment to cancel I took a 1/2 day vacation for this and refused being turned away they were not empathetic or sympathetic at all! They have a sign on door they have zero tolerance for shouting or some garbage like that. Meanwhile they cause the problem by not knowing how to successfully run a clinic. Fatima the office manager has zero skills to deescalate and make it a win win situation. She disappeared I had to track her down and inquire. The Dr apologized. I got nothing but excuses from reception. I told Fatima you owe my mother an apology once again she blamed the other clinic. No way was this their fault a successful office manager makes an office run smoothly not cause chaos. She lucked out she was speaking to someone when my mothers appointment was over and didn’t have to apologize after I told her my mother is owed one. Let’s see if this will give that push or my previously left voicemail for her will bring an apology by calling my mother. What a horrible experience. Once again unproffesional, no empathy or sympathy form the office staff. and to top it off these are elderly patients most with mobility issues and they are made to shuffle back and forth between waiting rooms. And you are there for a good 3hrs the Dr spends 5 mins with you and then OHIP is charged ridiculously high for seeing a patient for 5 mins.

I have multiple medical issues like diabetes hypothyroidism and high blood pressure. I had to arrange and prepare for my Iridotomy surgery with Dr Derzko for over a year! Before seeing her for the first time at the Vista Eye Centre I had to book different appointments with my endocrinologist to stabilize my glucose levels, etc. I also had to see a cardiologist to get treatment for my high blood pressure! All that to get to my eye laser procedure which was scheduled by the desk staff back in June for the month of October! I asked a friend to drive me to and back from the clinic for the day of the procedure! I got to my appointment half an hour early I was left breathless when I was told I wasn’t booked for a procedure on the scheduled date! I have the card they gave me back in June with the date for my surgery plus the dated consent paper signed by me and the doctor! The person at the desk just said it was not her fault and that the person who scheduled the appointment wasn’t working there anymore! How convenient! The person accompanying me (who by the way had to take the day off from work) asked her whose fault it was and she rudely told him “I’m not talking to you, I’m talking to the patient”! I’m still in total disbelief! She offered to reschedule but honestly after this experience I started to wonder not only if I should continue to deal with such unprofessional and disrespectful staff but also how can they get away with it! It’s so sarcastic and ironic to know they were supposed to be empathetic and show those they serve that they care, that they have feelings, that human blood runs through their veins, but what I got today was just cold expressionless faces with lips repeating excuses and making statements that sound more as if coming from people of more authoritarian societies! They try to make you feel like you are at their mercy and have to deal with whatever they throw at you! To me this is a typical situation where one should just seek advice from a lawyer and sue them for damages.

I used to be a patient of Dr. Derzko for 8+ years and now she refused to see me because of my vaccination status!. Her actual words. Your not allowed here anymore" . I almost left in tears as I suffer from uveitis and high pressure."

I had my consultation today for cataracts. I was nervous at first but the staff were very pleasant and professional. Dr. Derzko was amazing. She put my mind at ease and explained everything in easy terms. I feel confident that I am in good hands and ready to do the surgery!

Absolute worst experience for my elderly mother who was referred to a doctor at this clinic. Clinic left a message changing her appointment the friday before long weekend. She wasnt sure she understood and tried to call them. NO ONE ANSWERS phone. When she arrived at office was told her appointment had been changed from 3:15 to 9:30 and sorry they could not see her. Waiting room jam packed like a sardine can... people waiting in hallways... NOT a good system in covid times... Needless to say - my 88 year old mother will never return here.

These people do not return phone calls promptly, keep you waiting for over 3 hours every time and have no respect for people's age or stage. Shocking how bad it is on many levels. Rude, and shocking. They should not allow such wait times, have a more manageable schedule and learn how to run a business properly. If you can go somewhere else, you should. It will save you alot of time and aggro.

How can you justify making people wait 2 full hours before you see anyone? I find it very rude and inconsiderate to everyone in the waiting room. People waiting in hallway. No updates. Very bad experience. We as patients need to speak up and not tolerate these kind of waits. Can u imagine if a teacher operated this way???? A policeman? Ambulance drivers? There is no excuse to treat others this way. When the doctor had finished speaking she did not ask if we had any questions she just left. I called out down the hall after her Are we done?" Also FREEZING in there."
