Donair & Sub House - Burnaby

My go-to donair place, staff is great, portions are huge, and price is very reasonable. Very positive experience.

I probably come here at least twice a week to pick up food for me and my family. Stumbled upon it by chance and happy we got to try it. Food is fresh, delish and great value for money. Really a plus that the staff is super friendly. I would come even just for that! Super pleasant and feels like family.

Very consistent and great value for their small donair and a pop for $8.60. Staff has always been friendly and accommodating for every visit. With all the other donair places heading into Burnaby jacking their prices this one has stayed reasonable. I’d give them 5 stars but the only knock is their rice. If they stepped that up I would order the platters more often !

Delicious! Ordered delivery from here twice and both times the food was delicious, fresh and well packaged. The portions are generous as well. Love that you can pick the toppings on your salad. The special fries are amazing! Looking forward to eating here again.

Delicious. Specifically I love the fries special with chicken and for me their chicken is the best. The prices are reasonable compared to other nearby restaurants. They also have some nice combos of donair and drinks.

Tastes great and good value for the portion. I like how you can pick out your preferred veggies and sauces.We ordered the larger falafel platter but somehow the lamb platter ended up looking like it was upsized.

If I could give service 10/5 I would. The people here are amazing! I feel like I am visiting my brother everytime I come in here. And the food is delicious and humble, and let’s not forget - an incredible value for money. These guys deserve all the support and success! Please do yourself a favour and come and eat here!

I have been looking for donair places that are cost effective. Donair/shawarma places used to be the go to cheap eats but many places have raised their prices to ~$14-16 platter that it's more worth to buy other types of foods.We stumbled upon this place. Good amounts of street parking. Take out only shop.The prices were incredible. $10 for a regular platter. $12 for a large. We were wondering if they skimp on the meat or if it tastes bad but it definitely did not disappoint!I got a regular salad and you can choose to add any of the salad toppings in display. There's also pineapple toppings hidden in the fridge as well. One thing good about this place is thar you can mix 2 meats free of charge. I tried chicken and lamb. The chicken has such a nice marinade on it already and it was dry like other places. Most places have a beef/lamb mix but this place can have them separate. They looked the same and I couldnt really tell them apart because beef/lamb is always some sort of patty thats been sliced as opposed to intact meat. The meat was also not dry. However, I will definitely get all chicken next time because it was so good. Another good thing is that I read some other places give you less meat if you get the salad option but this place gives the same amount. I opted for tzaziki and garlic sauce. Very generous with the sauce but not much flavor especially the garlic sauce (donair dude still has really great garlic paste/sauce).A friend got the regular platter with extra meat. We opted for this way because we didnt know whether the large platter had more meat or not as it only says you can choose 2 more veggie options. The meat was piled high and the box was hard to close. They got a mix of lamb and beef but I still cant taste the difference.Pricing is incredible for the amount and tastiness. This will be our go to donair place.-edit nov 2022-Prices have gone up by $1 but still remains cheaper, tastier and bigger amounts than other places

Hello all! Just wanted to take a moment to leave a positive review which is absolutely deserved! All I can say I have had almost everything on the menu and it all amazing! I have also referred many to this place and not one person said anything negative...omg how can they when everything is perfect all the way from the sauces to the chicken,lamb and beef (most important thing of all..the messier the better).All I can say to the owner is I will always travel from far and beyond for your donairs and the poutine donairs.Thank you for the amazing customer service and awesome prices!!

Just about the best little shop in the area. You get a great amount of food for the price and it's all fantastic. I highly recommend having tzatziki and the garlic sauce together. One of my favorite places in the lower mainland!!
