ACADIA COLLEGE- AVIATION UNIT
Hi I am from London I am writing this review after getting pilot training from this college. I like the college because they teach you like there own kids they take care of you in everything. They try their level best to keep us happy. There were many confusion before coming to this college but now I am lucky to be in Acadia for Training as overall everything is auspicious. I am glad and proud to be Acadia Student. All hoping for their best dream here is the gate opens at Acadia.

As a CPL student at Acadia College I believe I have received quality training that will help me as a professional pilot. The aircrafts are in great shape, the instructors are knowledgeable and approachable, and scheduling was made easy. I’m excited to be a part of this place and love flying here.

I started my CPL at Acadia College. This flying school is not only about flying, but also more like a big family. People are kind and nice and help one another. Flight instructors are professional and always there to help us when we need it. During the CPL training at Acadia College, I have received an excellent flight training experience, and the training made me think and act like a professional pilot. Their aircrafts are well maintained, and the instructors are experienced. It is easy to book a flight. I’m enjoying my experience at Acadia and feel like a member of their family, and I love flying here! Now I officially hold my Commercial Pilot Licence and have moved on to my next milestone, Flight Instructor!

I was a student in Acadia from April 2022 until April 2023.I did my PPL and the beginning of my CPL on the school.I will try to give the most comprehensive information I can based only on the time I have been there. and ill try to make it accessible for people who aren't familiar with the aviation world.Pros:1. Langley airport is one of the best airports for flight training in the area in my opinion because:a. it is close to the practice area meaning you don't waste much time before you get to practice air exercises (although because glen valley practice area is small and crowded most of the time you'll end up going further east which result in a little longer time to get there but you get alot more freedom doing your exrecises)b. it's a very low volume airport meaning you spend alot less time waiting to get take of clearance compared to other airports (aircraft running on the ground can be a waste of money)c. Langley airport has a very short runway which provides good training standards for your landing and takeoff practices.2. Acadia is a very friendly and welcoming school, they are honest and they don't hide information or try and make you do extra unnecessary training items to get more money out of you (and a lot of school does so don't take it for granted)3. Booking availability is probably one of the best in the lower mainland, the school doesn't have many student (a hidden purl in my opinion) so you can book flight 2-3 days in advance with no issue.4. Prices are fair, they used to be the cheapest school I knew in the lower mainland, they increased their prices as every other school did because of fuel prices increasing so they are no longer the cheapest out there. but for what you get I think it's more than worth it. and in my personal opinion they won't rise it beyond reason.5. Instructors are very professional and friendly, they are down to earth and you can see them as friends and not only as someone there to provide the lesson plan and go home. they will go beyond their basic responsibilities and they will help you along your training, give tips from personal experience and advices which are sincere and not for their own interests but yours.6. no waiting time for an instructor - you will get assigned with one right away and will be able to start flying (I had to wait about a month in a different flight school I attended before I got assigned with one)Cons:1. they have only 1 cessna 152, now the aircraft availability is no where to being fully occupied and it's not an issue to get a booking on it. the only issue is when it needs maintenance or work on it you will need to wait for it to be finished (usually no more than a day).2. they currently don't have a multi engine IFR program which is a bit of a disadvantage if you are an international student who prefer to do your whole training process in the same school (they do plan to get it at some point in the future)3. since it's a pretty low in student school it's a big win for the student but it's a bit of a disadvantage if you are looking for an instructor position at the school. compared to the busier schools instructors there do not get as much bookings and if you are a student who is planning on the instructor position after your training it's something you need to take into consideration.Overall it's a very solid Choice for your flight training. if you aren't an international student and you aren't looking for the instructor rating I think it is by far the best option for you to get. but even if not the Pros still out weighs the Cons.Hope you'll find my review helpful as I know it can be hard it sometimes to trust a school representative giving you the information.Good luck with what ever you choose!

Hey! I first started attending Acadia in September of 2019, and I have been here since! I am almost done my CPL licence with them! This is my 4th flight school and I finally found my home! As a student, Acadia has everything you need to succeed! Great instructors, great CFI, great program, and airplane availability. In my search for a new school, I was hoping my experience here wouldn’t be the same as all other schools I had been to, I was truly starting to lose hope. I was not disappointed in my choice! The friendly staff, the friendly environment, all the students at school helping each other out, the study environment, and the fact you can be you! I am happy to be attending this school, and would seriously consider being an instructor here on day.

Instrutors are exceptionally knowledgeable and well experienced. They really care about students’ learning experience and are able to entertain students while teaching.I have visited a number of schools in the greater Vancouver area and this is obviously one of the best.More importantly it is located very close to the practice area, which saves a lot of money.

Excellent Flying Club Very Helpful !!!!Best Flying Club I ever trained I was shifted from the Sky flying club Canada and I am very very happy with Acadia College training skill. Every Students gets Personal Training in Acadia not Rush up Like Other Academy like Sky, Professional, Harvs, etc..The best part is the lowest rates of training fees and get best personal training on aircrafts and they teach you again and again till you get it. Ground Training is also very good in which all theoretical parts are explained deeply and in proper sense not like others. When my friend first recommend it to me I was new and fear as many agents are giving bad reviews but ultimately my friends told me the bad review was given by agents who don't get a chance to work with acadia. But ultimately good thing is good thing. I fly solo now as i got trained by professional instructor. Acadia staff and people are very much helpful towards fees training etc. I recommend to everyone to Join Acadia.
