Total Pet

We were redirected here from bosleys when their baths were getting some maintenance done on them. To our surprise, we actually like total pet better! There's a larger selection, it doesn't seem as... Posh?, and it's a larger store (the dogs can't really see the front door which helps keep them from getting excited every single time someone comes in the door.)The staff is really kind and helpful. The manager seems like a sweetheart. It seems like a great place to work, honestly.The store is organized and clean.They have a great selection of pet clothing and its reasonably priced!I own chinchillas and it's the first place I've seen have multiple brands of chinchilla food (unfortunately still all only 1 kg bags but I'll take the little wins)All in all, it's a bit more out of the way but I will continue going here because it's been a joy. The dog likes it too!

The sales associate Virginia was splendid to us friendly, and knowledgeable.

I went in to purchase some reptile food. The staff was right at the front to greet me and direct me to where they keep the product which was great, however I was met with an overwhelming stench of animal urine. The store looked clean, and if I had another option to get food at this time, I would have left. But two hours of driving means my regular store would be closed.While I was continuing my shopping and browsing, the staff were very loudly talking at the till about I don't know what.I used to manage an animal care facility for 5 years so I'm aware smells happen. But in a place that sells products to remove those smells, I'm just confused.

This store has always sucked. I worked there and its was awful. Until Virginia became manager the store is clean and employees are so helpful. Great job

I was recently in total pet to buy some things for my puppy and there was one larger lady who had curly hair and smelled badly… she had recommended I give my puppy cat food. Which I think is a bit ridiculous. I then went to the front counter and there was two teenage girls who were very knowledgeable about the dog food as well as all of the fish they have in store. I will be back simply because of the two girls, they made my bad experience into a great one, good job girls!

2 clerk's at the counter. Neither one said hello. I asked were the cat harnesses were. Response was over there". No one else was in the store. It took me quite awhile to find the litter. When I paid for the box of litter I told the cashier I was a senior. She told me that was yesterday. No offer to help take the box of litter to my car No words of thanks for coming in etc. I'm will never go back.However

First off I would like to thank the staff at Total Pet in Penticton for being the most compassionate and incredible sales associates I have ever encountered. They have once again gone above and beyond to provide the best experience a person could ask for when looking for a new pet. High fives all around to this store my gratitude goes beyond words and I would recommend Total Pet as an amazing place to shop.

Very knowledgeable and helpful, and took the time to explain questions I had about fish and plants for aquariums. Thank you!

5 staff members were at the cashier talking with 2 customers when I arrived . The rest of the store was empty as I walked through the entire place looking for the items I came in for. I walk with a cane and I have difficulty. Not one of the staff asked if they could help me until I was walking out. By that time I was so disappointed that they didn't care to ask me when I arrived. Zero customer service skills.

Pretty girls employed to hold up the front counter while the tanks are full of dead fish with fuzzy growth on them. Very impressive....
