I have nothing but the best to say about SF midwifery group. I gave birth to two kids with them it was the best experience. I had Ozra and Merium this time and they both were amazing.I had Ozra during my birth and I don't have words to comment on how amazing it was to have her. I laboured mostly at home and was in active labour for only 4 hours. She helped me so much during the labour with techniques to speed up the labour, along with providing natural pain relief such as hot water bath, back rubs and reassurance. She empowered me a lot with her kind words and loving tone. I will never forget the pleasant birth experience and would love to come back for the next child. Special thanks to Laura and Margaret for everything they do too. :)

Writing this review in hopes of seeing change or better training for the front desk staff. I called to request a midwife and the lady who answered my phone call was not only extremely abrupt and rude when telling me they were fully booked, but she also didn't help my situation by discouraging me about the current midwife and OB care climate. She said everywhere is fully booked and it is almost near to impossible to find a midwife or OB. This is my 4th pregnancy and my previous children were born with a different midwife clinic and this lady was only making my situation worse my making me hopeless. I finally told her that she should be more considerate of the way she is speaking to a pregnant woman who is dealing with so much already emotionally. She toned it down a little bit after that, however, it made me question whether I would ever want to experience care at this clinic ever again. Please be kinder and treat people with respect because you don't know what they could be going through!

A few of my family members have gone here for their pregnancies and once I was able to meet my sisters midwife in person, I instantly saw how amazing and caring this place was. I completely ditched my OB when there was an opening here and instantly fell in love with Ozra. She is such a kind loving person.Even the receptionists are super caring and you can tell they genuinely want to assist you. My first child I had an OB and knew nothing about midwives but now being in there care I realized how amazing it truly is! So grateful I was able to get in such a loving caring atmosphere and be able to have such a beautiful experience with my second little one on the way! <3

This is my second time receiving medical care from Sage Femme. Their ability to provide compassionate, professional, and exemplary care is clear. I was transferred out of their care with my first pregnancy (closer to the end) due to severe medical complications and with my second they offered me supportive care while I was in primary OB care due to being a high risk pregnancy. They followed me throughout continuing the same level of care regardless of my discharge to an OB. They supported me through both births and were always available to answer any questions or even lend an ear. Being pregnant I would say is one of the most vulnerable times you will ever be in your life and Sage Femme helped support this time in my life in all aspects. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to seek out midwife care. Midwife care is a special care that doesn't have time restrictions to appointments and creates bonds and supports in a health care system that is very overloaded and exhausted. I especially loved the after care support where they came to your home to see you and baby and ability to contact your midwife team at any time with concerns.

Being young and pregnant is usually an awkward situation. I wanted a care service catered to me and my birthing plan so I chose a midwife. Little to say it was a mistake. Although my midwives were fairly nice, every time I spoke they assumed I was lying. I think it might be because I was a young black woman. Coming into appointments was always awkward. Housing was unstable so I felt like there was silent judging there. I remember telling my midwife Cara at the start that I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to birth at home or in a hospital but I was leaning more to home and Cara was trying to pressure me into agreeing to a hospital. From the get g I wasn’t being listen to. Which is crazy because isn’t that what midwives are known for? Being able to deliver your baby at home? So why was Cara telling me not to do so?I remember taking a glucose test and I was asked when the last time I drank or ate something and you know pregnancy brain I couldn’t exactly remember so I had told the receptionist that the last time I drank juice was at Kennedy station and I told her I drank a sip then I said a gulp but I told her I wasn’t 100% sure and the receptionist replied “you don’t have to lie.” I looked at her strange because lie? For what? but I tried not to take it to heart.I ended up in a shelter hotel where the nurses thought I might be showing symptoms for preeclampsia. One of my midwives Cara called me for a check up and asked how my blood pressure was and I said they said everything was fine and she asked me “are you sure?” like I’m supposed to be confused or lying about something so dumb. That was the second time of them assuming that what was coming out of my mouth was a lie and it was just overall very uncomfortable conversation every time I talk to any of my midwives. And in the end of the whole thing they didn’t even deliver my baby. Not by their own fault but still the whole process was absolutely pointless. I lost baby after giving birth and told my midwife Cara about it and she said, “do you understand why? As if she agreed and it was okay for the government to swoop in out of nowhere to do such a thing. They were so unsupportive. Glad that process is over. Will definitely be travelling to a new city looking for a midwife and paying attention to the reviews.

Very pleased with the care I received from Sages Femmes. They handled my entire pregnancy with respect and kindness. Every appointment was very informative and they go over everything in detail. I am very grateful for Claudette and Tasha who have extensive experience and took such good care of me. Highly recommend to any women looking for a midwife!

I had a good experience with everything, staff are very friendly and welcoming, until I got switched over to an Obyn, and was told that I was still able to contact them... Which turned out to be untrue. It become very hard to get into contact with anyone for help, I was in active labour and tried several times to get ahold of someone and they never called back or checked in. I was very dissatisfied.

I was so fortunate to have Cara, Claudette, and Tasha support both of my pregnancies and births. They went out of their way to identify my priorities and supported my choices throughout the process. They are extremely knowledgeable and always took the time to answer my questions. I was incredibly impressed with how well they collaborated with the hospital staff (OBs and nurses). I ended up being transferred to an OB for my first and had a quick consult with an OB for my second and felt they worked together so well to provide me with the best care I needed at the time. Lastly - their visits to support me at home following my birth brought me SO much peace of mind.Laura and Margaret were always so efficient and helpful and always greeted me with so much kindness.I am forever grateful to this team and would highly recommend them.

I had an amazing experience with the care of my first child with Claudette and Tasha. I had an OB, and mentioned wanting mid-wife care postpartum, so she put me in touch with Sage-Femmes.They were available for questions and checked in on me prior to birth, and when I went into the hospital for labour they called and checked in, giving advice and letting me know what to expect as my labour progressed.Their postpartum care was everything I could have hoped for - letting me know what to keep an eye on, what not to stress about, and coming to my home which was AMAZING 3 days after birth. So so happy I had them on my team.
