Green Leaf Sushi l Kitsilano

Was a little bit disappointed to receive my takeout order this way. There is clearly not nearly enough fish on this oshi and yet they still proceeded to cover it with sauce and torch. If this was in store, i don't think they would dare send out a plate like this. Such a disappointment as I am usually a huge fan of Green Leaf at the Cameron location.

We ordered some from delivery before, this time was our first time to have Oshi at their restaurant. This time the sushi rice was not as good as what we expected even the flavor was really good. Except that everything was perfect and all servers there were friendly and helpful.

Great sushi for a great price!!! Would recommend to add to anyone traveling through Vancouver.

I’ve been going for years and dare I say this is one of the Vancouver “staple”? I try to make a stop each time I’m in the city, but recently the prices have gone up tremendously and it’s been harder to justify. Good aburis thou

We got 4 rolls and sashimi. The scallop and salmon rolls were great, solid aburi rolls. If you’re looking for a solid veggie option, the eggplant roll was great. Food is definitely a little expensive, as it was over $100 including tip for two people to dine.

Small but comfortable setting, clean, great staff (ask for James!). Food is AWESOME…authentic Japanese cuisine. Try the snapper tempura (comes with delicious greens). Fresh sushi, and best aburis in town. You will not be disappointed and also get your value for money!

Ordered from Door Dash with my usual very picky order - no this, no that on almost all items. I know. I’m a real treat for restaurants.That’s why I wasn’t surprised when I got a call from Green Leaf almost right after placing the order. I thought I was going to hear the “sorry, no substitutions for anything” but instead, I was greeted with a very pleasant man who apologized for not being able to substitute a few items I requested. Totally understandable. Restaurants have to draw the line somewhere and as long as they’re not snotty about it, I’m all good.I told him I’d call him back and let him know our decision as he couldn’t change our Door Dash order on his end and I couldn’t make changes on my end.Called the restaurant back and asked if I could substitute the items for another item of the same price. He was willing to do it and apologized for the inconvenience.To me, this is amazing customer service. He offered me solutions. He accepted my idea for a solution. And he apologized for something that was entirely not his fault. It’s my fault for being so picky. And of course, people would usually say, “that’s what a restaurant should do. The customer is always right.” No. That’s not always the case. But Green Leaf was solid here and their customer service was all I needed to write this review because I’ve had their food before and it’s good - good enough that I’m a repeat customer and appreciate their very reasonable prices for consistently good food but I never felt compelled to write a review for them until now. Very happy to support small businesses like this that find a healthy balance between trying their best for their customers and treating them well while still maintaining the integrity of their dishes the way they want customers to enjoy them.Thank you, Green Leaf. One of the best oshi in town. Definitely try the combos or specials for best value. Convenient location and efficient service. A bit cramped inside.

Have gotten takeaway and delivery as well, but prefer the dine in experience with the complimentary green tea :). My favourite local sushi place– I have been eating here my whole life, and everyone I've shown it to has also loved it.
