Ms. O'Neill charged me for reading questions that she had never answered, and she charged me for the same revision of the financial statement—twice. She even used the wrong date of marriage on my Net Family Property Statement, which would’ve resulted in a loss of NINE YEARS’ worth of spousal support. Working with Ms. O'Neill's and her assistant, Maura, was an endless loop of half answers, mistakes, overcharges, and ball-dropping. Given that the divorce was one of the lowest points in my life, it did feel like she had taken advantage of my vulnerability, and she seemed more interested in burning through the retainer than helping me.
