CAN-OP/G & G Service Upsala Campground

Nice campground, the spots have a lot of room. We had a 35ft camper and truck and another truck pulling a smaller trailer and it was a easy fit. Showers are nothing fancy a bit old and dirty so city people might not like it as mutch. Has a nice lake just beside it and the owners are really friendly. Water is drinkable.

Beautiful location and that's about all that's good. None of the sites have sewer, but there is a dump station. The services for the sites are generally in very poor locations. The washrooms are grim. There are no paper towels or hand dryer. The stalls are tiny. The showers are free but too grimy with holes in the flooring. The worst part of the site are the dogs. Our unit was chased by 3 unleashed dogs just getting in. There are a number of large, unleashed, uncontrolled dogs in the campground. The owners of the dogs make little to no effort to control their dogs. We couldn't even allow ours outside the trailer as she was constantly accosted by other dogs. This is supposedly a campground but is more of one big off leash dog park alongside a beautiful lake.

Beautiful view, very good price, and convenient spot off the highway. Owner is very sweet! Firewood available. Would stay here again & recommend!

Found this place by sheer luck, my son's bladder was gonna burst so we had to pull over. First glimpse was kinda creepy walking up to it but it was totally hilarious when you see the mosquito with a knife and fork and the full size man has a can of bug spray lol. Very cool in an oddballnovelties kinda way. I love finding stuff like this

it's good! although not very well marked on the road, wouldn't have known it was there at all. kind of a casual setup but take credit card an the people seem good. property is nice, especially the lakefront. showers aren't super inviting but I managed. right off the transcan, would stay again

The lake will not disappoint, with a beautiful sunset, you'll have a great night's sleep. Firewood delivery was a nice touch. As for the prior comments of needing updates, I would disagree. It's easily the best kept I've seen in any independent campsite in my trip across Canada. The provincial camps are nicer, but they had better be seeing as taxes paid to make those, not these gracious people.

Nice spot, you hear the train throughout the night but quiet otherwise. Bathrooms have showers. Lake has four geese living near so the beach is covered with poo. Ok fishing off the shore

Good place to camp for the night. Great playground for little kids. Staff is helpful. Right off the highway, close to amenities.

The sites are close to a small lake which has an amazing sunset! 30amp service with un-potable water hookup. Showers and washroom available, but in need of repair and a good cleaning. The hosts are gracious and friendly. There is a great kids play area and the beach has imported sand. It was early September and the water was fresh! It was easy access off the highway and surprisingly we didn't hear the traffic. The train tracks are close and one comes in the evening and one over night and they all honk their horn, so it might be a bit surprising.

Just off the highway. Great sites. Friendly owners. A hidden gem next to a lake.
