Great experience with The Farm Pet Retreat. First time leaving our fur baby to a kennel and could not be more happier that we decided to leave her here. She was there for a week and was comfortable the first day she got there. They even sent pictures of her to keep us posted on how well she's doing. Would highly recommend this place. Very clean facility. Inside and outside. Will definitely be using them again everytime we need to leave fur baby behind.

We heard great things about the farm pet retreat but our dogs two-night stay was horrible. When we arrived to pick up our 1.5 yr old lab and his belongings it was apparent that he had not been fed any of the food we provided for him.. we gave them a premeasured amount of his special food for the weekend (he has allergies) with his usual feeding schedule (~4.5 cups of food per day) and it was ALL returned to us. I am just in shock.. was he not fed? His blanket was returned to us soaked in urine. I could see from holding it up that he had peed on it multiple times. He is not an anxious dog, he is friendly with dogs and people, and he does not have accidents in the house... it was apparent he was not being let out to go to the bathroom. The young staff member told us that “he had be let out twice today” so she “wasn’t sure why he peed”. It was 6pm... let out twice? That is obviously insufficient. Not to mention, returning a urine soaked blanket to a customer is unnerving. When we spoke to the owner of the kennel on the phone, who was not present for the weekend, she had no explanation as to why he wasn’t fed and why he wasn’t let out to pee, just that she was very sorry this happened. I am just sick to my stomach thinking about our dogs stay there. I believe there were staffing issues and proper care could not be provided. I hope they make big changes for the sake of other animals staying with them.As an aside, we take him to Prairie Land Kennels once per week for daycare and if ever we need him cared for overnight again we will put our trust in them instead.I hope this is helpful to anyone considering boarding their dog while they are away.*update following owners response*We do believe he was being fed, as he had an allergic response in the days following his stay (red inflamed ears and diarrhea for a week). He was not given the food we provided (100% of this food was returned to us) despite clear instructions we provided on their intake form. During our phone call you indicated you were not present much over the weekend as you were caring for your toddler. Blaming the customer is typically not the route to go as a business. Your business had an unfortunate hiccup while our dog stayed with you. I’m sure you have made changes since. Thank you.

Best place! They are careful and caring, we see the result when we pick up our fur baby. Can't wait for summer to leave my dog there for play dates.

Farm pet retreat is the best kennel to take your beloved furry family member! They take great care and it shows! Our dogs love going here and it's so nice to see pictures of them playing and having fun! Worth the drive for such a great experience for our dogs!

HIGHLY recommend the farm pet retreat! Beau absolutely loves his stays here and I’m never concerned about him while I’m away. He always looks so happy in the photos I receive and he comes home exhausted from all of the attention and play time! No shortage of love here! Each and every one of the staff that I have interacted with have been great towards myself and Beau bounces off the walls when we walk in and they greet him. Thank you for making my holidays easier :)
