Upper Canada Child Care at Buttonville PS

My wife and daughter were the ones being berated by the daycare staff as described by the other review. I spoke with the supervisor, Nicole, who tried to explain that this staff member may have raised her voice because of frustration. I let her know that this behaviour is unacceptable and proceeded to show her the third party review outlining the behaviour of her staff. I truly believe that there are systemic issues at this daycare. My daughter attended this daycare for one month and we had to pull her out because she was miserable.

Very friendly and professional child care centre, special shout-outs to Ms. Jasmine, Ms. Ovee, Ms. Mai, Ms. Reina, and Ms. Ruby and of course Ms. Esther and Ms. Yan. I'm sorry if I missed anyone's name. You guys are the reason for my daughter Melissa who wants to come to the day-care everyday. Thank you for everything you do and I appreciate it very much!

Buttonville exceeded my expectations in every way possible— I wish I could give them six stars! From the moment I walked through their doors, I was blown away by the highly trained, qualified, and caring staff. Their attention to detail when it comes to each and every child is exceptional, creating an environment that fosters healthy development and growth from infancy to the transition into JK.At Buttonville, every child is recognized as unique and receives the utmost care and attention. As a busy parent, I never felt out of the loop thanks to the diligent staff who kept me informed with regular postings and pictures, ensuring that I never missed a beat in my child's day.But don't just take my word for it— my child absolutely adores everyone and everything at Buttonville. Our daily conversations are filled with enthusiasm and excitement about his experiences there.Since joining Buttonville, my child has made significant progress in his daily routine and social skills. He discovered new interests and has become more confident in expressing himself.There are many great things I would like to highlight. However, I am particularly grateful to the staff for their invaluable help with potty training. Thanks to their guidance, my child is now independently using the bathroom—an accomplishment that I can't emphasize enough!If you're looking to nurture a happy, creative, and socially adept child, I wholeheartedly recommend Buttonville. I know my child will deeply miss everyone there when he starts JK— Buttonville has truly become an integral part of our lives.

Since 2015 I have seen no consistency in professionalism from Upper Canada Child Care as the governing company or this specific location. This specific location has had 3 managers in 4 years, with the most recent having no prominent ability that requires her staff to depend on her leadership or lack thereof. It is displeasing to see a company run by favoritism lack the mental fortitude to remain focused on their primary job function, Child Care. Upon bringing my daughter in for one day, I was sorely displeased by the lack of attention they have towards the safety of the kids. Why have people in places leadership, when they are unable to ask the necessary questions when kids are being picked (can I have a piece ID to verify your name for child pickup?") Above all

My LO started 3 months ago and he loves going there during daytime. When his teachers and friends names are mentioned at home, he will give me a big beam. Teachers there are loving and caring. I have a little chat every day with my boy’s main teacher when I do pick ups. She recalls every little achievements my boy has made, or something funny and silly, or just the routine eating and sleeping and diaper changing. She’d share with me so I have a good understanding how my boy does at school. It’s the profession and experience of the staff that I’d recommend. The turn-over rate there is relatively low, meaning teachers themselves like to work in that environment. If you are looking for brighter and newer facilities, unfortunately you need somewhere else, like the newer Montessori school next door. But teachers there stay less than 1 year.

My daughter has been attending Buttonville Child Care for over a year now and I can't say enough about how pleased I am with the care she receives. Activities are fun, well planned and educational. Staff are respectful, professional and transparent. They help reinforce the same practices we have at home and keeps us well informed of her activities while at daycare. Facilities are clean! My daughter is always so excited to attend each day and can't wait to see her teachers and friends.

My daughter stayed at toddler program for two months now. She is a socially anxious child, but she is very happy at school now. The teachers are extremely friendly and patient and I am truly grateful for them.Also, there are different activities every day in the class, and my daughter enjoys her time at school. It’s truly amazing!!!!!!!

My son stayed at Buttonville Child Care for one and half month. He was very nervous at the very beginning. He was always crying and didn’t want us to leave. The teachers are very patient and nice. They are taking very good care of him. The activities in child care will be different every day. My son has lot of fun. He’s loving to go to daycare now.

As a new comer to Canada, I was so grateful that Upper Canada Child Care Centre gave us a lot of support and advices as far as York Region's child care fee subsidy. The result was AWESOME.My son was 18mths old only so there was a teacher taking care of him particularly. After two months, he is now able to use tumbler cup to drink and use fork/spoon to eat (never use hands). And one more important thing...cleaning up the toys HIMSELF.Bilingual teachers and staff are definitely another good for us.
