Some areas of this trail offer outstanding coastal views and others not so much. Thankfully, it is long offering many choices.

Fabulous trail for cycling and walking. Have cycled the entire trail four times, always find it to be in great condition. Well maintained, scenic, many points of interest. Benches and rest areas along the way. Mainly hard -packed crusher dust suitable for hybrid bikes. Thankful to have such a beautiful gem in NS!

I have cycled various sections of the trail from Troy to Inverness many times over the past 10 years. We have a group of six seniors (age 68-82) that does a 20-25 km section each week June-October. Most of our group have permanent residences in other places (Montreal, Calgary), but find this riding experience next to none. We find the exceptionally well maintained trail easy to ride, offering splendid views, with different sections providing their own unique features. A stop at the Judique Interpretive Centre, The Red Shoe in Mabou, or The Clove Hitch and Sandannies in Port Hood, is always a great way to finish off the morning with a bite and a cool one. Our thanks to the volunteers who do such a great job cutting the grass, maintaining the ditches, trimming the trees, and grading the trails. They are exceptional.

The Celtic Shores Coastal Trail runs from Troy to Inverness or vice versa. It is a flat surfaced smooth unpaved trail with splendid Coastal views along its path, enjoyed by cyclists and hikers.

Gorgeous trail along the shoreline. We only had time to walk a bit of it but plan to come back with our bikes. Great views, clean trail with lots of parking.
