4 stars? That s what I thought at first. But the follow up, in terms of using the report and sharing it with grant agencies, was awful and I basically wasted my money, i.e. the several hundred dollars I had paid for the home energy audit.

Great company to deal with. Steve was very helpful explaining things while I booked our appointment. Martin was our inspector and was great. He showed up on time and took his time to explain things clearly. I highly recommend using AmeriSpec for home inspections.

I recommend avoiding them if you have any sort of expectation for actually receiving your report. We contacted AmeriSpec from the list on the greener homes grant application. I reached out proactively to book an appointment which helped get an appointment within a few weeks. The inspector seemed nice when she was at our home and seem to offer good advice. She gave us an expected turnaround time of 4 weeks for the report which seemed fine. After 6 weeks since our inspection and reaching out a few times for updates, they are stating that they are working on reports from around 18 weeks ago which is completely unacceptable and misleading. We are definitely questioning if we will get the report we promptly paid for at all.

Like too many businesses in their field, they're all too happy to be responsive up until the point you've paid and then they disappear.I hired AmeriSpec to do pre and post retrofit evaluations for the Canada Greener Homes program.After the pre retrofit evaluation, AmeriSpec filed the report against the wrong application number. This is still not resolved 10 months later. AmeriSpec also took 5 MONTHS to provide me with the report so I could submit it to the government manually.Same story after performing the post-retrofit evaluation. Happy to be responsive to book and up until I've paid and then they disappear. It has now been a month and a half with no report. It took 6 WEEKS and several reminders to get any response after asking for an update on when that report would be available.I got a snarky response saying they can either answer emails or write reports. They've done neither.I recommend finding a larger organization that can actually follow through with what they promise.

The inspection was grestvwithbthe inspector spending lots of time to review and explain. Unfortunately I cant sat the same for the office as they have not sent my report nor do they return calls or emails!

I had a very positive experience in my energy audit. My auditor was very knowledgeable and recommended us to focus our attention on upgrades that could make the most impact to our energy footprint. We would recommend her to others in a heartbeat.
