I had the opportunity to fly with all of the instructors at Magnum while I completed my Instrument and Commercial training and it was an amazing experience. I had completed my private training at a 141 school before Magnum but I thought that I learn an incredible amount of valuable practical knowledge while flying at magnum. I was adequately prepared for all my check rides and passed on the first try. The instructors have a vast amount of knowledge and are super flexible to help you achieve whatever goal you have set. Give them a shot!

Magnum Helicopters has always provided excellent service for all of our helicopter needs. I personally received flight training there and got my rotorcraft pilots license there. We have hired them to fly rides at our family reunions at the farm for the past few years and I have rented helicopters from them when I had flow them myself. My family and I have always been satisfied with their service and will be using them in the future.

I came from Brazil to accomplish my Private and Commercial License, Chuck and Allan did a phenomenon job in guiding me to achieve my licenses goals.Helicopters are well maintained and facility is top notch. Muriel, the younger guy is funny and knowledgeable,, don't be fooled by his young look :)If you are looking to acquire your license in Southeast Michigan, look no further. Great team and honesty.

I received helicopter training there for my private pilots license and couldn't have been more happy with the level of instruction and dedication of the instructors. They have four helicopters to train on and all of the equipment was well maintained and in very good condition. The staff was excellent and have a lot of experience flying and training pilots. They went way beyond what the FAA requires for you to become a pilot and always stressed the difference between being a pilot and being a safe pilot.I would recommend them to anyone who wants to learn to be a good helicopter pilot.Jeff Hamlin

Loved my experience with Magnum Helicopters. The staff was super friendly. I took the Detroit Tour and it was amazing. It was my first time being in a helicopter and I felt safe. Our pilot was very nice and explained things along the tour really well. Would definitely recommend!

I got a learn to fly a helicopter gift from my amazing girl friend for Christmas. So I finely booked my day for Oct 21st 2017. Got there at 10:45AM and was introduced to Merle my instructor and got things started. Merle was awesome to fly with. Made me feel very welcome and comfortable.We flew from the airport over to Lake Orion were I live and got some great views of the lake in full fall colors. If you are considering doing a helicopter ride or learn to fly and actually fly it like I did !! I would highly recommend Magnum Helicopters. Ask if Merle is available as your instructor and if he is, He will provide you with a great experience. Thank you for such a great day Merle.

Wow! We used the certificate I had purchased for my husband for Christmas. What a great experience! This was my first time in a helicopter and I was more than a little apprehensive. Our pilot was friendly and made us feel completely comfortable. Couldn't ask for a better afternoon. I’ve been a certificated helicopter pilot since 1998, and have flown with Magnum Helicopters since the business started in 2005. The Magnum instructors are qualified, competent, and experienced professionals who I fly with often for recurrent training. The fleet of Magnum helicopters are well maintained and safe. I trust those helicopters with my life and those of my family and friends, and the Magnum instructors instill in their students (and practice themselves) an attitude of conservative and safe flying.Their rates are fair and reasonable. Their facilities are clean, professional-looking, and well located. Training out of Pontiac (Oakland County International) Airport is busy enough to be challenging, and the experience will make students feel confident and comfortable to fly just about anywhere.I never hesitate to recommend Magnum Helicopters to friends and acquaintances interested in learning to fly, and for pleasure or photo flights.
