We went for dinner, to cactus with girlfriends. Our server was very pleasant. She provides us timely service . food came on timely matter. The portions were right. The lettuce wrap is always great option and you never regret ordering it. I ordered a lemon grass noodle salad, which was really good healthy and right portion for dinner. The restaurant is been decorated modern. The lighting is a bit dark and hard to read the menu but they have candles on each table which makes it nice pleasant lighting. It’s not loud music which is good and that you can hear your friend on your table, but not quiet enough to hear other people talking which is perfect.

This is the 2nd Cactus Club that I have experienced. Server was very nice and polite. Dim lighting with nice aesthetics. Large establishment. Washroom (men) was clean for the most part. I was quite taken back by the washroom at the Cactus Club nearby Vancouver Convention Center. I mention this because I think that location would be better for business dinner events. Now for the food. I ordered the Szechuan Chicken Lettuce Wraps. It came with two sauces, one creamy, one was oil. Comes with peanuts so I would not recommend for people with peanut allergies. Not sure what was in them. The chicken was overcooked and very dry. I also got the Wagyu Beef Carpaccio. It was served with grilled bread. The first plate sent out was too salty and sour. The bread was also over cooked and hard. The server sent the carpaccio back and brought out a new plate that was much better. Even brought out bread that was cooked perfectly. No hassle! I really enjoyed the second plate. Next item I ordered was the Tuna Stack (tartare). I thought it was OK. I love avocado but I didn’t feel the avocado went well with this dish. I would recommend this place however the other location mentioned above is better.

A good restaurant makes it easy to write a flattering review when everything goes right. A great restaurant inspires you to write a great review even when things don't go smoothly. My server was Deewa, and she was just the friendliest gal you could hope for. Things didn't quite go as planned with my order, and while the details don't matter, Deewa's response does – she took full responsibility when she could have easily blamed the kitchen, and proved to be one classy young lady. The small inconvenience of having to wait a few more minutes for my meal is already forgotten, but I won't forget the fantastic service, thoughtfulness, and the absolutely delicious Med bowl with chicken.A sincere thanks to Deewa and her manager Orchid for turning what could have been a forgettable lunch into a reminder of what an impact good food and service can have on one's day. I'm looking forward to bringing my girlfriend in to share another Med bowl!

Amazing experience. It was my 19th birthday and I ordered a blackened creole chicken and Kyoto Fizz and my first legal drink. The chicken was amazing. It was seasoned perfectly and the spicy butter on the top helped bring out the full flavours of the chicken. I know this is customary, but the hot plates that the food is served on is a nice touch as it kept the chicken nice and hot throughout my meal. The Kyoto Fizz was also really good, no complaints.Service was great! Our waitress brought me a complimentary birthday dessert, which was a very nice and thoughtful treat.Overall I had an outstanding birthday dinner, I plan to visit again with my friends.

Can’t go wrong with going to the cactus club for a date night, friends hang out, or a special celebration. It’s that type of place that feels appropriate for various events, even just a casual happy hour. The staff is attentive, the menu has a great selection to cater to various dietary restrictions, and the food comes out pretty fast. I was very happy with the flavours and portions of the dishes. The dessert was a tad on the sweet side but that was very minor opinion.Parking can be a little a tight and limited so take caution.

Spacious with soft lighting that was bright enough to easily read the menus.A spontaneous Dine Out Vancouver trial that worked out well and had leftovers. The chocolate peanut butter crunch bar was the highlight. The server was nice. Unfortunately, once we paid our bill we didn't even get a water refill. It was appreciated we felt free to stay & visit as they had several open tables.

I would recommend an actual local place... But You can always expect some consistency in food and service quality here. It's not quite authentic and real but they have their version of service and ambience...and reasonably busy. Not pictured here but do not order the mushroom steak... We should've sent it back but didn't...Burgers and salad are solid choices... So is the squash and truffle with shrimp stuffed pasta.

On a warm-sunny Monday noon for lunch....ok....here it goes....The patio was strangely enough charming considering it was right by the highway. You'd think....the noise, the smell and perhaps the construction would get on your first nerve very quickly.....it actually didn't. The warmth of the shady sun along with the colourful umbrellas shining their light onto your table with a timid breeze visiting once in a while made me feel like ordering a margarita. The Chicken Tenders were decent, but not sure I'd order them again at $19....I think next time I'll try a different item. The Bacon Burger was great.....I'd get that again. It hit every burger craving spot. Our server Austin J. just made the whole experience even better. He had all the natural talents, charm and suave to be in customer service....well done Austin....you deserve to rocket all the way to the top. Will be back if I'm in the area again.
