Frank, my tutor, is extremely kind, compassionate, patient, knowledgeable, understanding, and extremely knowledgeable. He has tutored me for Grade 11 University English (ENG3U) and other subjects. Diana, the secretary, is super kind, helpful, and flexible. Whether it's an upcoming or last minute assignment, Diana will be able to arrange time for you and your tutor. I’ve had an amazing experience with York Region Tutoring. The tutors are extremely kind, patient, and knowledgeable. All the tutors that I’ve had at York explained concepts in such a way that was easy to understand. After the tutoring, I always felt prepared going into tests and assessments. Diana (secretary) is super friendly and accommodating. She’s easy to contact, responds quickly, and is really flexible when making changes to a schedule. The staff here is amazing. The tutors are experienced and can assist you in various subjects. Everyone is punctual, helpful, and friendly. The environment is also quite casual and welcoming, which greatly boosts confidence and the overall learning environment. I took 4 courses with 3 different tutors, and they were all amazing. Former tutor, worked from 2019/09 - 2020/12.Great work environment, strikes nice balance between professional and casual (not overly formal, friendly and welcoming). Flexible hours, though there is an expectation to adhere to a schedule so you can tutor the same students regularly.Founder and head tutor, John, was always enthusiastic and encouraging. Gave good advice and support to other tutors, and had a great attitude with his students.Secretary, Diana, was super friendly, great about communicating plans, changes and scheduling. Diana and John are both very supportive when a student or tutor is struggling.Cannot thank them enough for the opportunity to work with them.Two friendly dogs occasionally roam the halls to provide moral support, but they're good about staying in their room when there are students uncomfortable around dogs/pets.
