We didnt know anything about this place. Saw it, got lucky they had an opening the same day. Went in blind, totally unprepared and had a fantastic time. We stayed in the little escape pod, it is a beautiful little cabin, had air conditioning and heat! The screened in area had all the ccomforts of home. Cleanest outhouse ive ever seen. The privacy was absolutely amazing! We found the bed super comfortable as we prefer a firmer mattress. Loved it!! Our dogs loved the trails.Thank you so much for having us, we hope to be back in the future.

The only thing more amazing than the venue itself, is the amazing hosts.They have built an amazing business that is perfect for anyone looking to escape and have a mental reset.We will continue to come back year after year.Highly recommend

We have stayed at 3 of their cabins during winter and summer. We loved them all. This is the perfect place to go to unwind and enjoy nature. Miles of hiking trails, a private lake and beautiful cabins. Combine this with hosts who really care about you having a great stay. We love this place and will be back in August.

My partner and I spent 4 nights here and we both really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the escape pod which was very cozy (and air conditioned). We enjoyed cooking outside in the screened kitchen area and hanging out by the fire at night.The area is beautiful and quiet. The other cabins are not close by so it was very private except for a couple of other visitors occasionally driving by. We had fun hiking some of the trails and taking the included canoe out on the lake. There are beaches located close by and one of the days we drove about 15 minutes to check out Foy’s beach, which I would also recommend visiting. We may have to visit again soon to see more of the area.I would recommend Deacon Escarpment to anyone looking to spend some peaceful time outdoors. The owners Zac and Steph were very nice. they provided everything we needed and answered all of our questions quickly, they even sent me back a hat I had left there.

Stayed at the Tracker's cabin which offered a great secluded stay with an amazing view. Plenty of hiking trails nearby perfect for snowshoeing during the winter. An abundance of wildlife, especially deer. The cabin itself is equipped with everything you need for an off the grid experience, propane fireplace, solar powered lights and charging station, an outdoor tent shower and the list goes on. The check in/out process is very convenient. Zac and Steph are great hosts. Highly recommended!

I absolutely love it here. Their cabins are beautiful and the views are gorgeous! We went in the Winter and brought our dog for a mini getaway. The owners are friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back!!

This was our second time staying at Deacon Escarpment. First one was at the Sarah Lesley Cabin and last week was in their new campsite. That was my first time camping and I loved it! The site is remote and private. Made you feel so close to nature. My husband and I plus our two dogs had some peace and quiet. The outhouse was also a nice experience. :) Zac and Steph can also rent out their RVs if you want one.P.S Bring some bug spray.

This place never seems to disappoint. If you need a disconnect from the world and a chance to catch your breath. This place is it.With amazing hosts that make your stay so easy. This is easily a must stay retreat.

You couldn't ask for a more beautiful area to unplug and unwind! We will be going back in the summer to try another cabin and another season and we can't wait :)Zac and Steph replied right away and we very friendly and knowledgeable!We stayed in the Tracker Cabin; a clean, cozy and cute one room cabin with a propane fireplace, beautifully made queen sized bunkbeds, a long narrow table, two folding chairs and a folding table. They also provided a BBQ with cooking utensils, well water, a wash basin, a kettle and a picnic table and stools by the fire pit.We chose the Tracker Cabin because it was more off the grid. It had an outhouse box (wooden box seat with a lid over a hole, no walls!). However, there was a charging station available for cell phones or other devices and as mentioned on their website, there is great cell service; though we turned all of our devices off once we were there to fully appreciate our surroundings.The cabin it was very private and had many well groomed trails. The beds were comfortable and the cabin heated quickly and stayed warm through the night even though it was cold out. We loved that we could bring our puppy with us, she loved it! Our 11 year old son also had a blast hiking through the days and having a fire and games at night.AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!
