Beyond the Classroom - Milton

I reached out to Cheryl looking for in-home tutoring support for my twins. On incredibly short notice, she was able to action my request. Arlene was assigned a weekly 2-hour in-home visit, 1 hour per child, back-to-back, and it worked! Arlene is terrific, we love her, and she does a fantastic job - she really gets to know the kids and she personalizes each learning session accordingly! I have used Beyond the Classroom - Milton for both my children. Cheryl has always done a fantastic job pairing my kids with tutors that they are comfortable with. The tutors have all been approachable, accommodating and have given the kids the help and confidence they need to be successful. I love that there is no sign up commitment. For example, my daughter in high school was able to easily get a tutor for just the one semester she had a course she needed the extra help with. I will continue to use Cheryl and her team and highly recommend them for anyone needing some extra support.

I am a firm believer as a parent to assist our children as much as we can to help them grow to their full potential. I was using a tutoring service which was no longer the right fit for my daughter's tutoring needs. I began a google search to find a service that was close to our home where if needed I could drive to meet up with a tutor. Early on during the fall 2020 semester, I realized that my son needed support with Gr 12 calculus. As the virtual learning was part of the problem, he definitely needed a tutor who could meet with him in person. I was so pleased that Cheryl was able to quickly provide a tutor who could come to our home (always masked!). David genuinely seemed to care about my son's progress and they communicated to ensure that David was prepared in advance each week to discuss the necessary materials. When the lockdown started, Cheryl quickly provided an online solution/platform to make the virtual tutoring a bit easier too. With David's support, my son was able to finish with an A, which will help his university applications! I'm very grateful to Beyond the Classroom.

My son was struggling in math, to the point he was actually failing, I reached out to Cheryl with my concerns and she set up a tutor to help him. My sons mark started off with a 48%, with weekly tutoring sessions with (Pam) he has grasped the math concept to the degree of getting the highest culminating mark in his class 79%,EQAO of 80%.... his mark for math is now 65% and he hasn’t written his exam as of yet. I highly recommend Behond Tutoring to any parent whose child is struggling with math... The sessions are so worth the energy and time that goes into helping out our children exceed in life!

We had a wonderful teacher come in and help my daughter jump up 4 reading levels in just a few weeks. She connected with my daughter and really helped motivate her with her reading and writing. Would highly recommend!

My daughter was really struggling with reading, we tried kumon which was not a good fit for her. I saw an ad for Beyond the Classroom and was expecting it to cost a fortune and I was surprised that the first session was free to try it out and the price is amazing! We have been hooked ever since. Our tutor is amazing and my daughter has gone up two reading levels and is so confident and eager to read since we started in September. Our 2-year experience with Beyond the Classroom was fantastic.
