Two brothers, who still run a shop with nostalgia and finesse. These guys cut my hair once back in 99, 2000 so 20 years ago. I suggested them to my 16 year old son, who’s very particular on who cuts his hair! He’s now had more hair cuts there than me. He’s a regular now. Yes Elgin street is ripped up for construction right now. But parking at City Hall is free after hours and weekends, and Roma is a short walk from City Hall. Great service, great Hair cut, and if you strike up a conversation? You will definitely enjoy your hair cut. These boys have seen a few high powered individuals in their years. Just check out the photos of thanks on their walls. Great place. If I had hair? I’d go again. Glad my son now has a trusted Barber. Not a hair salon.

Perhaps Ottawa's last true barber shop. This is not a franchise - you will not find barbers" in their 20's with no experience here. The two barbers have been cutting hair at this location since the 1980s. It is always the perfect haircut

I've been getting my haircut at Roma for 20+ years so that should say something about how I feel about the quality. Never made an appointment, not even sure if you can, just walk in and wait. Great price, great cut, what more would you want?

I told the guy what I wanted (a fairly simple taper fade and trimmed on top), but he didn't fade at all, he just shaved the sides unevenly. My right side above the ear is a good 1cm longer than the left side. He also changed the direction in which my hair was styled. Terrible haircut.

Best folks in the city! Mario and Alex are top notch folks! Over 50 years in business. Family owned. Been at this location for over 40 years. Amazing, licensed barbers! Outstanding value! Was great to see them again!

I found the place to be incredibly dirty and cluttered.I did not get a haircut personally, but instead was trying to get my toddler a haircut who was not cooperating. The gentleman cutting his hair had very sloppy technique and was going at an incredibly slow pace. Its understandable that kids haircuts are hard and not everyone's cup of tea, but then I would expect the barber to tell me before he started cutting the hair.Personally having witnessed his slow cutting technique and how messy the place was I would never get a haircut there myself, nor would recommend it to anyone.Judging by the number of good reviews, it seems that the barber shop simply caters to a different audience that does not work for me.

Went there yesterday. Great haircut, I'm not very good at expressing what I want in a haircut, so he followed his intuition and it came out great.Good conversation, lots of great military history stuff. This is definitely my new barbershop in Ottawa

A really good haircut style and technique! Old italian school!It does take time (I recommend not to go if you’re in a hurry) but it’s worth it. First time will be a little different. It’s the kind of haircut that looks good for more than just a week.

Fantastic haircut. Hole-in-the-wall barber shop that is a gem to find. The men there have dedicated 30 years to master their craft and like to take their time to make your haircut the best it can be.It may not be flashy like most barbershops nowadays but they know what they're doing.
