I bought a product. It turned out that the wrong item was in the box, pieces were missing and some pieces were, bizarrely, doubled up. I explained the situation. I wanted to exchange it. They don’t carry the item anymore. I asked for a similar product of equal value. Can’t do it without the receipt.Eventually they agreed to do a store credit. I appreciated that. However they only gave me store credit for 50% of the amount I paid. As you can imagine I’m livid. I just want to go. Take the “L” as it were and go home to punch a wall. Before I could leave I was asked for a moment of my time. During that moment they decided to stress to me how what they did was a favour and that they won’t do something like this for me again. It took every ounce of self control not to jump over the counter and throttle the employee.The favour: They made me pay them $90 to take back a wrongly packaged product, with missing parts because I didn’t have a receipt.The conclusion: Clearly it is now on the customer to open products before buying them in order to ensure that the items advertised on the box are actually in the box, and that all of them are there. Now I know what you are thinking, why don’t you just save the receipt? I didn’t because I knew I wouldn’t be taking the product back if it eventually broke. I very rarely do. I guess I just assumed that Home Depot didn’t sell mystery boxes. Keep your receipts but more importantly start opening merchandise before buying it.Lowes is located 4 minutes from the store, go there.

We were looking for some electrical wire to be cut to run to a light bulb holder. We don't know if it was because the store associate (Sean) was preoccupied with something else but he seemed rude right off the bat when we asked for help. We are not electricians and clearly needed some recommendations. He said that he could not cut us any wire unless we knew what gauge we needed. He said verbatim “I know what kind of wire you need, but do you?” To make a remark like that seems very ridiculous and discriminatory. He boasted that he has worked there for 16 years; I wonder how many customers he’s treated so arrogantly. Not everyone who shops at a home improvement store is a tradesman. The Home Depot website even says to “speak to an associate in-store today to get started” under the electrical wire and cable section. All I know is, if a doctor could not give a patient an injection unless the patient knew what gauge needle they needed, that’d be some kind of world we'd be living in.

I’d like to thank the the staff who made to today’s visit special and deserved recognition. They were helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, they took the time to SHOW ME not SEND ME down this aisle, turn left, make the second right or maybe it over …I had asked for the mgr ( Jessica ? ). I was told she’s a “ GET THINGS DONE “ kinda manager. I wouldn’t know, she either couldn’t be found or wouldn’t come to desk after being paged, so I don’t know if she’s a get things done mgr or not?However back to the hero’s of the day. Your two employees more than made up for the snubbing. I’ve got more rooms to paint, and gardens to fill so I’ll be back to your store and I WILL ASK THEM IF THEY WERE GIVEN A PAT ON THE BACK, maybe even from Jessica - THEY DESERVE IT❗️Thank Q for a most enjoyable and helpful shopping experience - see you soon!

Had trouble finding the registers and Doug was most helpful and informative concerning the proper types to purchase. When checking out, Sabrina was less than helpful and appeared as though either 1) she doesn’t like her job or 2) she didn’t want to be here. As we had smaller items, a bag was not offered until I had to ask for when. When she picked one up, she was reluctant to pack its content and then when I started to pack, she dropped the paper bag and caused it to rip. Instead of waiting for her to fix the problem that she created, I took the ripped bag and contents and left. Sorry, but not buying from this location due to the fact that this location hired someone who is servicing the public with an attitude like hers. Do better, Home Depot!

No issues finding most of what I was looking. I have issues returning items and usually end up having them put the return on a gift card which isn't ideal, especially when I have the physical receipt in my hand. Can sometimes find someone to help. Hate scanning my own items and paying the same prices.

Nik in seasonal is a fantastic young man! He helped me carry 10 bags of garden soil with no complaints! With my lower back pain I was having a hard time lifting those heavy bags! He was very helpful and kind and made sure I got everything I needed. Thank you Nik!
