WOW Bakery & Cafe (Macleod Plaza)

My wife and I go to this bakery regularly and have never been disappointed with their products or service. We are greeted immediately when arriving and have always found the staff to be very nice, the female staff is very nice and always smiling, if you're not sure what to get, she will help. Whether we are in for a quick stop and shop or catching up with friends, we find the atmosphere very welcoming. There is a nice seating area in the back that I have used many times for studying or reading. There are many things to choose from, we regularly have their cafe latte and earl grey cake both are very good with the flavours being just right. You won't be disappointed when you stop by.

I went in as early as they open as the cafe is conveniently located near Chinook. The lady busy arranging their displays of pastries didn’t offer a hello nor did the barista. Literally the barista didn’t offer a simple hello even after I greeted him. As a matter of fact the lady didn’t even budge to get out of my way as I was trying to help myself with their pastries.The cafe in general is clean and they do play good music. The oat latte I had was mediocre to my taste with no effort to make an art. Most of their offerings are a bit pricey. I wouldn’t mind paying a bit more for my pastries and coffee, but if the staffs should learn what customer service is all about. For the whole hour I stayed there with no other dine-in customer around, not once did anybody stopped by to check on me. They seemed to be friendly only to other Koreans, greeting them so warmly. Unfortunately, their bad customer service won’t make me go back nor recommend this bakery.

Nice pastries. Tried Strawberry and Belgium chocolate pastries. Highly recommend. Croissants are ok. Love the ambiance of the bakery.

This is my favourite WOW bakery location! Lots of parking space, close to Chinook mall, modern rustic interior and not too much crowd so I can read a book and relax! They have wide variety of Korean & Japanese pastries to choose from. They are famous for their wonderful cakes, which we always get every special occasions. This location has a cafe too! One of my favourite is their Iced Caramel Macchiato. The crew were fast and precise with my order, and even gave me a complimentary cream cheese bun! This is my go-to WOW bakery from now on.

We ordered French Baguette, Almond Croissant and a Tiramisu CroissantThe French Baguette was really good, but the Almond and Tiramisu Croissant were just okayish.They had turned really soft and we have had better than those from other bakeries around in Calgary.

Unbelievably arrogantMy partner was looking forward to trying this bakery so we went out of our way to pick up a pastry and try it out. We picked something up and asked the cashier if it's ok to sit in the back in the cafe area because it was empty and it looked like it was more for display than utilitary, cashier said 'yes, go ahead'.After we left my partner told me while we were sitting there that the lady working there was complaining in korean to the cashier that went something to the effect of why did they have to sit down

I visited this bakery for the first time a few days ago, and it was incredible! The service and atmosphere were everything. I asked what their recommendations were, and I bought all of them (the garlic bun, red bean cream donut, and twisted donut). The kind man who checked me out also gave me a free matcha croissant for buying their recommendations. I will gladly come back here again for the friendly service and delicious goods. I bought a cake here for a friend’s birthday. Their prices are unbeatable for what you get. My friend loved the green tea cake, it tasted as good as it looked!Their pastries are also delicious. I would recommend red bean filled donut, it was so good I might have to visit this place more often.
